''Rupert'' is a traditionally animated children's television series based on the Mary Tourtel character ''Rupert Bear'', which aired from 1991 to 1997 with 65 half-hour episodes produced. The series is produced by Nelvana, in co-production with Ellipse Programmé for the first three seasons, in association with YTV Canada, Inc. TV Cultura
TV Cultura or simply Cultura, is a free Brazilian public television network headquartered in São Paulo and a part of Father Anchieta Foundation, a non-profit foundation funded by the São Paulo State Government. It focuses on educational and cultural subjects but also has sports as entertainment options. According to research by the BBC and the British institute Populus, published in 2015, TV Cultura is the second highest quality channel in the world, behind only BBC One. History TV Cultura was founded in 1960 by Diários Associados and Rede de Emissoras Associadas, who also owned TV Tupi. Salty's Lighthouse
''Salty's Lighthouse'' is an American animated television series for preschoolers. The series was produced by Sunbow Entertainment and aired from October 3, 1997, to June 26, 1998, on TLC. in association with the Bank Street College of Education in New York. The show centers on a young boy named Salty, as he plays and learns with his friends in a magical lighthouse. As well as the animated adventures of Salty and his friends, the series uses live-action footage from the British children's television series ''Tugs'' for various segments. 40 episodes were produced in the series. Overview Salty is a young redheaded boy who loves using his imagination. Monica's Gang (TV Series)
''Monica and Friends'' (known as ''Turma da Mônica'' in Brazil, ''Mónica e Amigos'' in the European Portuguese dub and ''Monica's Gang'' in past translations) is a Brazilian series of cartoons based on the comic book '' Monica and Friends'' by Mauricio de Sousa. The series runs on Cartoon Network and previously on Globo, but in 2014, Globo stopped to air the series. Six DVDs with episodes of the series were released, distributed by Paramount Home Entertainment. Globo displayed the newest episodes of the DVDs. New episodes were released in nine ''Cine Gibi'' movies. New episodes are posted on the programme's official YouTube channel after they air on Cartoon Network. Malhação
''Malhação'' (, ''Young Hearts'' in English) is a Brazilian soap-opera that aired on TV Globo from 4 March 1995 to 3 April 2020. The series is targeted at a teenage audience. Each season runs for about a year with cast members changing every season. History The soap opera began in 1995, and was initially set in a fictional Gym Club called ''Malhação'' on Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Through the years the setting varied each season. Although the name of the soap remained the same, it was set in the Múltipla Escolha ( en, Multiple Choice) High School for nine seasons. In the twenty-second season, the location returned to be a gym, the ''Gael's Martial Arts Gym'', placed within the art school ''Ribalta''. The following season brought the high school setting back. From the twenty-fourth season onwards, the setting was changed back to the "Academia Form". Cocoricó
Cocoricó is a Brazilian children's puppet show aired on TV Cultura, which premiered on the day April 10, 1996. The character Júlio was originally derived from a Christmas special that aired in 1989 called "Banho de Aventura" (Adventure Bath) on the program Rá-Tim-Bum. When Cocoricó debuted in the 90s, the program had a similar format to Glub Glub featuring short European animated series like Pingu and Fireman Sam interspersed with simple stories featuring the puppet characters, however some special episodes debuting new characters were made. The production of the show was done until 2001, when the production team started to work in Ilha Rá-Tim-Bum. With that Cocoricó had some reruns until 2003 received a soft reboot featuring new stories and without the cartoons. Chiquititas (1997 Brazilian TV Series)
''Chiquititas'', also known as ''Chiquititas 1997'' or Chiquititas Brasil is the Brazilian version of the Argentine soap opera ''Chiquititas''. Produced and aired from 1997 to 2001 by SBT, in association with Telefe, the show starred Brazilian actresses Flávia Monteiro as Carolina "Carol" Correia, Fernanda Souza as Mili, and Débora Falabella, as Estrela, being the last two's careers debut. Based on the original version of same name created and produced by Cris Morena, the soap opera tells the story of a group of orphans that live in a manor, known as Raio de Luz, whose lives are touched and changed by Carol. Their experiences such as discovering first love, deceptions, loneliness and friendship, as well as adventures in fantasy, are depicted throughout the series.
