1998 California Elections
California's state elections were held November 3, 1998. Necessary Partisan primary, primary elections were held on March 3. Up for election were all the seats of the California State Assembly, 20 seats of the California Senate, seven constitutional officers, all the seats of the California Board of Equalization, as well as votes on retention of two California Supreme Court, Supreme Court justices and various appeals court judges. A percentage point or percent point is the unit (measurement), unit for the difference (mathematics), arithmetic difference between two percentages. William Westwood Lockyer (born May 8, 1941) is an American politician and lawyer from the state of California. Michela Alioto-Pier (born April 29, 1968) is an American politician and small business owner who served as a member of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors from 2004 to 2011.
