Scottish First Division
The Scottish Football League First Division was the second tier in the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The First Division was introduced in 1975–76 to replace the old Scottish Football League Division Two, as the top flight of the Scottish Football League was renamed from Division One to Premier Division. In 1998, the Premier Division clubs broke away from the Scottish Football League to form the Scottish Premier League. The First Division remained the second tier of the Scottish league system, but was now the top tier of the Scottish Football League. In July 2013, the Scottish Football League and Scottish Premier League merged to form the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL). Marino Keith
Marino Keith (born 16 December 1974) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a forward. Born in Peterhead, he played in the Scottish Highland Football League for Fraserbugh FC, in the English Football League for Plymouth Argyle and Colchester United, and in the Scottish Football League for Dundee United FC, Falkirk FC, Livingston FC, and Peterhead FC. His older brother, Paul, was a prolific goalscorer with Fraserburgh FC in the Scottish Highland Football League, and where he spent his entire football career. Early life and career Keith was born in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire. A product of the Scottish Highland Football League, he began his professional football career with Fraserburgh FC in the Scottish Highland Football League, where he played for five years. Warren Hawke
Warren Robert Hawke (born 20 September 1970) is an English former footballer who played for Sunderland, Berwick Rangers, Greenock Morton and Queen of the South. Although he never started more than three games in a season during his time at Sunderland he is remembered for playing in the 2-0 play-off semi-final win at Newcastle United in 1990, while one of his 19 substitute appearances was in the 1992 FA Cup Final. Post football Since retiring from football, Hawke has taken up endurance events and bespoke challenges. Paul Hartley
Paul Hartley (born 19 October 1976) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the manager of Scottish Championship side Cove Rangers. As a player, Hartley won trophies with both Hearts and Celtic, and earned 25 caps for the Scotland national team. He also played for Hamilton Academical, Millwall, Raith Rovers, Hibernian, Greenock Morton, St Johnstone, Bristol City and Aberdeen during his career. As a manager, he guided Alloa Athletic to successive promotions. He then moved to Dundee, who he helped win promotion to the Scottish top flight in 2014. Hartley was sacked by Dundee in March 2017. Laurent Mayaba D'Jaffo (born 5 November 1970) is a retired footballer. Born in France, he represented Benin internationally. D'Jaffo was born in France but moved to Africa when he was two years old. He moved back to France when he was fourteen where he signed with Montpellier at age sixteen. Stephen Brian Cooper (22 June 1964 – 15 February 2004) was an English footballer who played as a forward. Best known for his time spent with Airdrieonians, his headed goal in the semi-final at Hampden against Hearts ensured that his side made it to the 1995 Scottish Cup final and he played the full 90 minutes against Celtic as the Diamonds lost 1–0 to a Pierre van Hooijdonk goal. Before joining Airdrie, Cooper played for a number of clubs in England, most notably Tranmere Rovers, where he scored twice in Tranmere's successful playoff campaign in 1991 through which the club were promoted to the First Division, and also scored in the club's 3–2 defeat against Cooper's former club Birmingham City in the Associate Members' Cup Final, also in 1991. Brian McPhee
Brian McPhee (born 23 October 1970 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish retired footballer who last played for Wishaw Juniors. He had a long career as a striker in the Scottish Football League with several clubs. Career McPhee joined Queen's Park in 1993 and turned professional with Airdrieonians in 1996. During his time at Airdrie, McPhee narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier Division when the club lost in an end of season play-off to Hibernian in 1997. After growing dissatisfied with his regular use as a substitute by manager Alex MacDonald, McPhee rejected a new contract offer from Airdrie and after trials in Greece and Holland, signed for Livingston in July 1998. Eddie Annand
Edward Annand (born 24 March 1973 in Glasgow) is a retired Scottish footballer who last played as a striker for Arthurlie. Career Early years Annand began his career with Partick Thistle, where he played one game before moving to Sligo Rovers initially on loan. Prior to the 1993–94 season the move was made permanent. Annand scored the winning goal which sealed the 1993–94 League of Ireland First Division title and also the winner in the FAI Cup semi final. In the final he provided the corner kick which won the FAI Cup at Lansdowne Road in May 1994. This qualified Sligo for the 1994–95 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup where after beating Floriana F.C.
