Major League Soccer
Major League Soccer (MLS) is a men's professional soccer league sanctioned by the United States Soccer Federation, which represents the sport's highest level in the United States. The league comprises 29 teams—26 in the U.S. and 3 in Canada—since the 2023 season. The league is headquartered in Midtown Manhattan. Major League Soccer is the most recent in a series of men's premier professional national soccer leagues established in the United States and Canada. The predecessor of MLS was the North American Soccer League (NASL), which existed from 1968 until 1984. Bill Harte
Bill Harte is a retired American soccer defender who played one season in Major League Soccer. Harte attended Loyola University Maryland where he played on the men's soccer team from 1991 to 1993. In the summer of 1994, Harte played for the Washington Warthogs in the Continental Indoor Soccer League. In October 1994, Harte signed with the Baltimore Bays of the USISL. In the fall of 1996, he signed with the Baltimore Spirit of the National Professional Soccer League. He played nine games for the Spirit before being waived on December 26, 1996. On February 1, 1997, the New England Revolution selected Harte in the first round (third pick overall) of the Supplemental Draft. Peter Hattrup
Peter Hattrup (born March 31, 1964) is a retired American soccer player who played professionally in Major League Soccer and the USL A-League. Player Youth Hattrup was a four-year starter as a star player for the Seattle Preparatory School boys' soccer team. He graduated in 1982 and entered Seattle Pacific University. Hattrup was a scoring sensation for Seattle Pacific men's NCAA Division II soccer team. In 1985, he set the school record for goals scored in a single season with 26. Tampa Bay Mutiny
Tampa Bay Mutiny was a professional soccer team based in Tampa, Florida. They were a charter member of Major League Soccer (MLS) and played from 1996 to 2001. They played their home games at Tampa Stadium and then at Raymond James Stadium. The Mutiny were established in 1994 and were owned and operated by MLS throughout their existence. They were successful in their first years of play, winning the first MLS Supporters' Shield behind MLS MVP Carlos Valderrama and high-scoring forward Roy Lassiter, whose 27 goals in 1996 remained the MLS single-season record until 2018. The New Orleans Jesters are an American soccer team based in New Orleans, Louisiana. Ezra Hendrickson
Ezra Hendrickson (born 16 January 1972) is a Vincentian professional football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Major League Soccer club Chicago Fire. Born in Layou, Hendrickson moved with his family to the United States at a young age and played college soccer with the Drake Bulldogs. He began his senior career with semi-professional clubs Des Moines Menace and New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers before being drafted in the 1997 MLS Supplemental Draft by the NY/NJ MetroStars. The Milwaukee Rampage are a former defunct professional American soccer team, that was located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which played in the A-League. History Founded in 1993 by Milwaukee area businessmen Dan Doucette and Jim Hock, the Rampage played its first game on June 24, 1993, against Siarka Tarnobrzeg. Head coach Boro Sucevic fielded a team which included Tony Sanneh, Brian McBride, Kris Kelderman, Joey Kirk and Steve Provan. Dan Stebbins is a retired U.S. soccer forward who played three seasons in Major League Soccer and was the 1996 USISL league leading scorer and MVP.
