Russian First Division
The Russian First League (russian: Первая лига, Pervaya liga), formerly called Russian First Division (russian: Первый дивизион) and Russian Football National League (FNL) (russian: Первенство Футбольной Национальной Лиги, Pervenstvo Futbol'noy Natsional'noy Ligi) is the second level of the Russian football league system. The Russian Professional Football League (PFL) used to run the division. Since 2011, it has been managed by the Football National League. The league consists of 18 clubs. After each season the two top clubs are promoted to the Premier League, and the bottom four clubs are relegated to the Russian Professional Football League. Third and fourth team play in home-and-away promotion play-offs against the 13th and 14th Premier League teams. FC Sokol-PZhD Saratov
PFC Sokol (russian: ПФК "Сокол") is a Russian association football club based in Saratov. In 2001 and 2002, Sokol played in the Russian Premier League. Currently the club plays in the third-level FNL 2. History The club was founded as ''Dynamo''. It was known by this name until 1930 and in 1946–1953. Other club's names include ''Lokomotiv'' (1956–1960), ''Energiya'' (1954–1955), ''Sokol'' (1961–1994 and 1998–2005), and ''Sokol-PZD'' (1995–1997). "Sokol" is Russian for "falcon". Dynamo did not enter the Soviet league until 1946, when they debuted in the Third Group and were promoted to the Second Group at the first time of asking. Vladimir Vasilievich Mukhanov (Russian: Владимир Васильевич Муханов; born 20 April 1954) is a Russian football coach and a former player. He is the manager of FC Aktobe in Kazakhstan. Career He played 37 games in Soviet Top League and scored 6 goals. He started his managerial career in 1992 and managed several Russian First Division teams until 2003, when he came in charge of Kazakhstan Premier League side FC Tobol. Later he won Kazakhstan Cup with FC Astana-1964 in 2005, and the league in 2007 with FC Aktobe. The year 2008 was the most successful season for him, when his team won all three home trophies: League, Cup and Supercup. On 17 May 2017, Mukhanov resigned as manager of FC Okzhetpes. From 2017 till 2018 he managed FC Aktobe.

The team began playing in the Russian Premier League in 2011, after it was promoted for winning the Russian First Division. FC Kuban was one of the oldest football clubs in Russia.
