The 1995 Individual Long Track World Championship was the 25th edition of the FIM speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. The event was held on 17 September 1995 at the Eichenring motorcycle speedway arena in Scheeßel, Germany. The world title was won by Kelvin Tatum of England after he defeated five times champion Simon Wigg in a run off for the gold medal. Steven Schofield (born 27 February 1958) is a British former motorcycle speedway rider. He competed in speedway, longtrack and grasstrack Racing. He earned 12 international caps for the England national speedway team. Career Longtrack and grasstrack Schofield reached eight World Longtrack world championship finals and won the silver medal in 1997 and the bronze medal in 1998. He also reached seven European Grasstrack Champion finals and was the British Masters 500cc grasstrack champion in 1988, following seven consecutive 350cc titles from 1980 to 1986. Speedway Schofield began his British leagues career riding for Weymouth Wildcats in 1980 but it was not until the 1981 National League season that he became a first team regular. Steve Bishop (born 26 November 1963) is a former grasstrack, longtrack and motorcycle speedway rider from England. Career Bishop started racing in the British leagues in 1981 but it was not during the 1982 National League season that he became a regular rider, when riding for the Exeter Falcons. He helped Exeter win the Knockout Cup in 1983 and rode for them when they were in the top division in 1984. Also in 1984, he doubled up for Stoke Potters. Following a season with Arena Essex Hammers in 1987, he rode for Poole Pirates and Long Eaton Invaders in 1988. He returned to Exeter for the 1989 and 1990 seasons before he began to concentrate on grasstrack and longtrack racing. Bernd Diener (born 19 June 1959) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Germany. He competed in Speedway, Longtrack and Grasstrack and is a two times World longtrack team champion. Career Diener has twice been on the podium in the World Longtrack Championship 1996 & 2004. He became a team World longtrack team champion in 2008 and 2012 respectively. Diener won the European Grasstrack Championship in 1999. Diener won the German national longtrack championship in 2000 and went on to finish fifth in the World Championship that year. Diener won the German championship silver medal three times and bronze medal seven times spanning the years 1995 to 2019. Diener retired in 2023. Robert Barth (born 10 August 1968) is a German former motorcycle speedway rider. He is a four time champion of the world. Life Barth was born on born 10 August 1968. Career Barth won four Long Track World Championships, in 2002, 2003, 2005 and 2006. He also rode in the Speedway Grand Prix. Barth twice won the German Individual Speedway Championship 2001 and 2002. Barth was also a prominent grasstrack rider and won three European Championship titles in 1989, 1990 and 1994. The grasstrack championship merged with the Longtrack and Barth finished runner-up three times (1996, 1999 and 2000) before winning his world titles. He retired in 2006 but retained an interest in the sport becoming an engine tuner. He helped Lukas Fienhage become the 2020 World Longtrack champion.
