French Television
Television in France was introduced in 1931, when the first experimental broadcasts began. Colour television was introduced in October 1967 on La Deuxième Chaîne. Digital terrestrial television The digital terrestrial television platform was launched on 31 March 2005 after a short testing period. Like Freeview in the UK, it provides many new channels, as well as the current terrestrial television stations. Like the rest of Europe, France uses the DVB-T transmission technology. The 13 first digital free channels were launched on 31 March 2005. In October, 4 additional free channels were added: the 24h news channels BFM TV and I-Télé, the music and entertainment youth channel Europe 2 TV, and the free children channel Gulli, joint-venture between Lagardère Active and France Télévisions. Aladdin (animated TV Series)
''Disney's Aladdin: The Series'' (commonly referred to as simply ''Aladdin'') is an American animated television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation that aired from February 6, 1994, to November 25, 1995, concluding exactly three years to the day from the release of the original 1992 Disney film of the same name on which it was based. Despite the animated television series premiering four months before the first sequel, the direct-to-video film ''The Return of Jafar'', it takes place afterward. The second and final animated film sequel was the 1996 direct-to-video film, ''Aladdin and the King of Thieves''. The TV series was produced by Alan Zaslove and Tad Stones, who were already renowned for their work on '' Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers'' and ''Darkwing Duck''. Le Jour Du Seigneur
''Le Jour du Seigneur'' ( English: The Day of God) is a France 2 religious programme that presents Christianity, usually broadcasting Catholic mass and services, amongst other things related to religion. It was the first broadcast Vatican Catholic mass and is the longest running French television show. The show was first broadcast on October 1949, an overall total of 73 years, one of the highest lengths ever for a TV show. The show was originally called ''L'Emission religieuse'' (The Religious Show) and later renamed ''Le Jour du Seigneur'' in 1954. The show has experienced a significant drop of television viewers over the span of several decades due to the decline of religious observance, and overall decline in rates of Christianity. ''Présence protestante'' is a France 2 religious programme that presents Protestant Christianity. It has been produced since the 1950s broadcast every Sunday morning since October 9, 1955. History Présence protestante debuted on October 2, 1955 which was presented by Marcel Gosselin, under the leadership of Marc Boegner who was the president of the Protestant Federation of France. 30 Millions D'amis
30 millions d'amis (English: "30 million friends") is a French television program, a French monthly magazine with its posters, and a French foundation: the Fondation 30 Millions d'Amis. All three focus on pets, especially cats, dogs, horses, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, mice, canaries, parakeets, parrots, terrarium reptiles, goldfish, aquarium fish, and other exotic pets, but also wild animals like for example, bonobos and cheetahs. Television program The first episode of the program, initiative of the French journalist Jean-Pierre Hutin, who was worried about the fate of pets, was broadcast on 6 January 1976 on TF1. It is one of the television programs that has the fifth-longest longevity of the French audiovisual field, after ''Des chiffres et des lettres'', ''Automoto'', ''Thalassa'' and ''Stade 2''. Léon Zitrone
Léon Zitrone (25 November 1914 – 25 November 1995) was a Russian-born French journalist and television presenter. Biography Zitrone was born in Petrograd, Russia. He arrived in France with his family fleeing communism at the age of six. He graduated from the ESJ Paris. He began by training in scientific studies but his mastership of Russian, French, English and German gave him entrance in 1948 to the radio foreign broadcasting services of Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (RTF). In 1959, he joined the television activity of RTF. From 1961, he became news presenter, function he occupied for nearly 20 years, first until 1975, on the first French television channel (now TF1), then also on Antenne 2, the other public service channel. Jean-Pierre Elkabbach called him back in 1979. He then took charge of the news program during the week-end (his contract was established until 1 February 1981).
