Richie Burnett
Richard Mark "Richie" Burnett (born 7 February 1967), nicknamed Prince of Wales, is a Welsh professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He is a former World No. 1 who won the 1995 Embassy World Darts Championship. Burnett is known for coming on to "Dakota" and dancing on stage. He is also known for his fiery personality, fighting with Adrian Lewis on stage during the 2012 Players Championship Finals. BDO career Burnett was born in Cwmparc, Rhondda and first came to prominence shortly after the split in the game, after the PDC and the BDO players went their separate ways. Burnett began to win many titles in the BDO in 1994, which included the Dutch Open, Welsh Open, British Matchplay and the Denmark Open. Eric Burden
Eric Burden is a former Welsh professional darts player who competed in the 1980s and 1990s. Career Burden played in the BDO World Darts Championship four times and lost in the first round each time. He lost in 1989 to Russell Stewart, in 1991 to Bob Sinnaeve, in 1994 to Leo Laurens and in 1996 to Per Skau. Burden also played in the Winmau World Masters three times, again losing in the first round each time. In 1985, he lost to Tony Payne, in 1993 to George Dalgleish and in 1994 to Les Wallace. Despite his poor record on televised majors, Burden fared better on floor events, reaching the final of the 1990 WDF Europe Cup, losing to Phil Taylor and the 1995 WDF World Cup, losing to Martin Adams. Mervyn King (darts Player)
Mervyn King (born 15 March 1966) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. Nicknamed The King, he has reached seven PDC major TV finals and reached a peak of No. 4 in the PDC Order of Merit. Early life King first took up the game at the age of 12, playing with an old rolled-cardboard dartboard given to him by his father. His father insisted that he played darts using competition distance and height. By the age of 13, he had ambitions to become a professional player as he was playing county darts at Superleague level. His first county A game was at the age of 14 and he won his local men's singles league at that age. Martin Phillips (darts Player)
Martin Phillips (born 30 April 1960) is a Welsh former professional darts player who competed in the British Darts Organisation (BDO). He won the 2014 World Masters championship. Darts career 1988–1994 Phillips was born in Dolgellau, and made his first televised darts appearance at the 1988 British Professional Championship reaching the last 16. In 1991, he appeared at his first World Championship losing in the first round to the defending champion Phil Taylor. In 1992 he defeated the Dutchman Bert Vlaardingerbroek 3–0 in the first round and knocked out five-time world champion Eric Bristow 3–2 in the second round to reach the quarter final where he was defeated again by Taylor, who went on to clinch his second World title. Braulio Roncero (3 March 1951 – 27 July 2018) was a Spanish-born Dutch professional darts player who played in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career From Extremadura, Spain. Denis Ovens (born 1 July 1957 in Enfield) is an English retired professional darts player. He is nicknamed ''The Heat'' and is now based in Stevenage. Ovens is widely regarded as one of the most consistent players in the circuit, though he has as yet failed to convert his form from the circuit to the big stages on television. His constant second round exits in numerous televised tournaments has led him to be called by commentators as 'The Nearly Man'. Mark Salmon (darts Player)
Mark Salmon (born 23 February 1963 in Pontypridd) is a former Welsh professional darts player who competed in both the British Darts Organisation and Professional Darts Corporation circuits. Salmon was inspired to play darts by Leighton Rees, the first World Champion and played with flights bearing Leighton's face in his honour. Career Salmon played in the 1996 BDO World Darts Championship, losing in the first round 3–0 to Roland Scholten. A month later, Salmon won the Scottish Open, beating fellow Welshman Sean Palfrey in the final. Salmon never progressed further in the BDO and in 2005 he began playing in PDC where he qualified for the 2006 PDC World Darts Championship, beating Rod Harrington and Owen Caffrey to qualify.
