1994 Scottish Cup Final
The 1994 Scottish Cup Final was the final match of the 1993–94 Scottish Cup competition, the 109th edition of the most important cup competition in Scottish football. It was played between Dundee United and Rangers at Hampden Park, Glasgow on 21 May 1994. Dundee United won the game 1–0, with a goal by Craig Brewster. Following a mix-up between Rangers' goalkeeper Ally Maxwell and Dave McPherson, United's Christian Dailly rolled a cross-shot across goal. The ball bounced off the post but Brewster was there to tap in. It was Dundee United's first Scottish Cup victory, having previously played in six finals, but losing all of them. The 1993–94 Scottish League Cup was the 48th staging of the Scotland's second most prestigious football knockout competition. The competition was won by Rangers, who defeated Hibernian 2–1 in the final at Celtic Park. Ally McCoist scored the winning goal, in his first game after returning from a long term injury (a leg break) suffered earlier in the year while playing for Scotland. Andy McLaren
Andy McLaren (born 5 June 1973 in Glasgow) is a former Scottish professional footballer. He began his career in 1989 with Dundee United where he was for 10 years and was part of the team when they won the Scottish Cup in 1994. He had trouble with cannabis and cocaine and spent time in rehab before returning to football in June 2000. In 2009, to help others to avoid the pitfalls that he experienced, he established the A&M Training and Development organisation. Career McLaren, a winger, began his career in 1989 with Dundee United where he remained for 10 years, helping them win the Scottish Cup in 1994. He left Tannadice for English club Reading in 1999 and during his spell had a brief loan spell at Livingston. Alex Cleland
Alexander Cleland (born 10 December 1970) is a Scottish professional football player and coach. Cleland played as a defender for Scottish sides Rangers and Dundee United and English team Everton. Although never capped at senior level for Scotland, he did make eleven appearances for the under-21 team. David Hannah
David Hannah (born 4 August 1973) is a Scottish footballer and coach, who played in central midfield. He began his career with Dundee United, transferred to Celtic in 1996 and rejoined Dundee United from 1999 to 2002. He then had short spells with a number of Scottish clubs, including Ross County and St Johnstone, as well as playing for clubs in Cyprus, England and Iceland. Jim McInally
James Edward McInally (born 19 February 1964) is a Scottish football manager and former player. He played for Dundee United for 10 seasons in which he won the 1993–94 Scottish Cup and played in the 1987 UEFA Cup Final. At United he was also a three time Scottish Cup runner-up. McInally also played for Celtic, Nottingham Forest (1985 Player of the Year), Coventry City, Raith Rovers, Dundee, Sligo Rovers and East Fife. Brian Welsh (born 23 February 1969) is a Scottish football coach and former player, who is currently owner and head coach of American club Northern Virginia United. He began his playing career with Dundee United, where he made 140 league appearances and was part of the team that won the 1994 Scottish Cup Final. Gordan Petrić (; born 30 July 1969) is a Serbian football manager and former player who is the manager of Serbian SuperLiga club Partizan. Club career Petrić made his senior debut with OFK Beograd in the 1985–86 season, as the club suffered relegation from the top flight of Yugoslav football. Maurice Malpas
Maurice Daniel Robert Malpas (born 3 August 1962) is a Scottish former football player and coach. He signed for Dundee United in 1979 and spent his entire professional playing career with the club until his retirement in 2000.
