Eric William Beresford Woods (12 December 1892 – 12 August 1936) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne University Football Club, University. Klondike Klassic
The Edmonton Open was a golf tournament on the Canadian Tour that was held in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It was founded in 1993 as the Klondike Golf Klassic and was held during the week leading up to the Klondike Days summer fair. In 1996 Telus become the tournament's main sponsor and it was re-titled as the ED TEL PLAnet Open, before becoming the Telus Edmonton Open the following year. PGA Tour Canada, commonly referred to as the Canadian Tour, is a men's professional golf tour headquartered in Toronto, Ontario. The United States based PGA Tour took over operation of the tour on November 1, 2012, at which time it was renamed PGA Tour Canada. In 2015, Mackenzie Investments became the umbrella sponsor of the tour, branding it as the Mackenzie Tour – PGA Tour Canada. PGA Tour Canada is one of three international PGA Tour-sanctioned tours, along with PGA Tour China and PGA Tour Latinoamérica. CPGA Championship
The PGA Championship of Canada is a golf tournament organized by the PGA of Canada, an organization founded in 1911 at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club. It was first played in 1912 as the Canadian PGA Championship. It was a Nationwide Tour event from 2001 to 2005. Prior to that it was an event on the Canadian Tour. Stan Leonard holds the record with eight victories. Roger Wessels
Roger Mark Wessels (born 4 March 1961) is a South African professional golfer. Career Wessels was born in Port Elizabeth. He turned professional at a relatively late age in 1987, without having had any major successes as an amateur. Despite that, he won several times on the Southern Africa Tour, latterly the Sunshine Tour, including the South African PGA Championship in 1991. He also played on the Canadian Tour, where he won the Canadian Masters title in 1994. He represented South Africa in the World Cup at the end of that year. Wessels played on the European Tour from 1995 through 2003, having his best season in 2000 when he finished 35th on the Order of Merit. He retired from tournament golf at the end of 2003, and has since pursued a career as a teaching professional. Canadian Masters (golf)
The Canadian Masters was a golf tournament on the Canadian Tour between 1994 and 1999. It was held at Heron Point Golf Links in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. The tournament founded with the intention of developing it into a Canadian dollar, C$0.5 million event within five years. The prize fund quickly increased, from C$100,000 in the first year to C$200,000 in the second and C$250,000 the third and fourth, making it the richest on tour. However, while it remained the joint richest event on the Canadian Tour, prize money dropped back down to C$200,000 in 1998 and 1999, the final time it was held. The winner of the Canadian Masters was awarded the George Knudson Memorial Trophy, named in memory of one of Canada's most successful professional golfers. Derek James
Derek James (born 28 September 1960) is a South African professional golfer currently playing on the Sunshine Tour. James was born in Durban and lives in Southbroom with his wife and two children. He was the 1984 South African Strokeplay champion, his biggest amateur win. He turned professional later that year and joined the Sunshine Tour. He won his first title there in 1991, and would add six more wins between then and 1994. He was also runner-up in the South African Open in 1992, and won the Canadian Tournament Players' Championship in 1994, in addition to picking up three minor tournament victories in the United States. Scott Michael Dunlap (born August 16, 1963) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions, having previously been a member of the PGA Tour.
