1993 Ukrainian Cup Final
The 1993 Ukrainian Cup Final is a football match that took place at the Republican Stadium on May 30, 1993. The match was the second final of national cup competition and it was contested by FC Dynamo Kyiv and FC Karpaty Lviv. The 1993 Ukrainian Cup Final was also the second to be held in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. Dynamo won the match 2:1 with goals from Viktor Leonenko and the former ''Karpaty'' player Dmytro Topchiyev. The match also had 1 yellow card issued to '' Mokrytskyi'' ( Karpaty). One of the few Ukrainian Cup finals where there were no foreign players. Road to Kyiv Both teams started from the first round of the competition (1/16). FC Metalist Kharkiv
Football Club Metalist Kharkiv ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб Металі́ст Ха́рків ) is a Ukrainian football club based in Kharkiv that plays in the Ukrainian First League during the 2021–22 season. It was revived 5 years after the original FC Metalist Kharkiv ceased operations. Founded in 1925, FC Metalist Kharkiv had worked its way up the rungs of the Soviet football system, eventually being promoted to the Soviet Top League in 1960. After a difficult period which included relegation, Metalist was promoted to the Top League again in 1982, where it remained until the league's dissolution. The club won the Soviet Cup once, and were also runners-up once. They have also won silver medals of the 2012–13 Ukrainian Premier League and six bronze medals of the Ukrainian Premier League, starting from the 2006–07 season. Oleh Romanovych Luzhnyi ( uk, Олег Романович Лужний; born 5 August 1968) is a Ukrainian former professional footballer who played as a right-back. Club career Luzhnyi is a product of the Karpaty sports school (coached by Yuriy Hdanskyi and Yuriy Dyachuk-Stavytskyi) and later studied at the Lviv State School of Physical Culture. He first played for Ukrainian clubs Torpedo Lutsk (1985–88) and SKA Karpaty Lviv (1988) in Soviet lower football leagues. Dynamo Kyiv Luzhnyi signed for Dynamo Kyiv in 1989 and became a regular at right-back, winning the domestic double in 1990 and seven consecutive Ukrainian league titles between 1993 and 1999. FC Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk was a Ukrainian football team based in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine, the unofficial capital of the Prykarpattia region.
