The 1993 Danish speedway season was the 1993 season of motorcycle speedway in Denmark. Individual Individual Championship The 1993 Danish Individual Speedway Championship was the 1993 edition of the Danish Individual Speedway Championship. The final was held over two rounds at Randers on 29 May and at Fjelsted on 31 May. The title was won by Hans Nielsen for the fifth time. He defeated rival Tommy Knudsen by overtaking his aggregate score in their final heat against each other. Knudsen had led by a single point going into the second round and by a single point going into the final race. Five riders from the Danish final would progress to the Nordic Final as part of the 1993 Individual Speedway World Championship. Morten Andersen (speedway Rider)
Morten Andersen (born 19 August 1960), nicknamed the "Great Dane", is a Danish former American football placekicker who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 25 seasons, most notably with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons. Following a career from 1982 to 2007, Andersen holds the NFL record for regular season games played at 382. He also ranks second in field goals (565) and points scored (2,544). In addition to his league accomplishments, he is the Saints' all-time leading scorer at 1,318 points. Andersen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2017 and, along with Jan Stenerud, is one of only two exclusive placekickers to receive the honor. Brovst Speedway Klub
Brovst Speedway Club also known as Nordjysk Elite Speedway is a motorcycle speedway club from Brovst in Denmark, who competed in the Danish Speedway League until 2010, and then again in 2021. They are three times champions of Denmark, having won the title in 1990, 1998 and 2000. Track The home venue of the club is the Brovst Speedway Center, which is located north of Brovst on the Over Søen 12, from Brovst to Tranum. History 1957 to 1991 The club was founded by name in 1991 but previous to this the origins of the club were started in 1957, with the founding of the Han Herreds Motor Klub (HaMK). Holstebro Speedway Klub is a motorcycle speedway club from Holstebro in Denmark. They were champions of Denmark, having won the title in 1997. Track The track is located about 16 kilometres east of Holestebro on Hesselåvej 41B (south of Skave) and is adjacent to the Holstebro Moto Cross track. History 1953 to 1967 In 1953, Holstebro Motor Klub (HMK) converted the grass track at Naur to a 367-metre speedway track. The track was known as the Naur track because it was just outside Holstebro to the west, by the railway line to Naur. The track hosted significant speedway events but unfortunately, due to financial difficulties the HMK suspended activities in 1967. Roll of Honour List of teams to have finished in medal-winning positions: 2008 season The 2008 season was won by Slangerup; they beat Esbjerg and Holsted. 2009 season 2015 season In the Superfinal Munkebo won with 36 points. Fjelsted finished second with 33 points, Esbjerg third with 32 points and Region Varde forth with 31 points. 2016 season In the Superfinal Region Varde won with 40 points. Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship
The Danish Under 21 Individual Speedway Championship is a competition for riders who are under the age of 21, holding a Danish passport and a valid DMU licence. The competition was first staged in 1960 and was won by Jorgen Hoffman. Although there was no competition in 1961, the event returned in 1962 and has been staged every year since. Kenneth Bjerre holds the record for most titles with four.
