1992 Scottish Cup Final
The 1992 Scottish Cup Final was played between Rangers and Airdrieonians, at Hampden Park, Glasgow, on 9 May 1992. Rangers won the match 2–1. They opened the scoring with a goal by Mark Hateley in the 30th minute, a finish from six yards after a low cross from the left. Ally McCoist made it 2–0 with a half volley, before Andy Smith scored a consolation goal from outside the box. Rangers' route to the final was unusual in that they faced Scottish Premier Division opposition in every round, beating 1990 winners Aberdeen, 1991 winners Motherwell, St Johnstone and 1989 winners Celtic before facing Airdrie. Old Firm
The Old Firm is the collective name for the Scottish football clubs Celtic and Rangers, which are both based in Glasgow. The two clubs are by far the most successful and popular in Scotland, and the rivalry between them has become deeply embedded in Scottish culture. Paul Rideout
Paul Rideout (born 14 August 1964) is an English former professional footballer and youth team coach of Major League Soccer side Sporting Kansas City. As a player, he was a striker from 1980 until 2002, notably in the Premier League with Everton where he scored the winning goal in the 1995 FA Cup final against Manchester United at Wembley Stadium. He also played in his native land for Swindon Town, Aston Villa, Southampton, Notts County and Tranmere Rovers. Dale Andrew Gordon (born 9 January 1967) is a former professional association footballer who played predominantly as a right-sided midfielder for Norwich City, Rangers, West Ham United, Peterborough United, Millwall and AFC Bournemouth. Ian Durrant
Ian Durrant (born 29 October 1966) is a Scottish professional football coach and former player who is currently a first team coach at East Kilbride. During his playing career, Durrant played as a midfielder for Rangers for 13 years and was part of the team that won nine successive league championships to equal a record set by rivals Celtic, although he barely played for three years after suffering a serious knee injury in 1988, having established himself as an important member of the side. Oleksiy Oleksandrovych Mykhaylychenko ( uk, Олексій Олександрович Михайличенко; born 30 March 1963) is a Ukrainian football coach and former professional player. Stuart McCall
Andrew Stuart Murray McCall (born 10 June 1964) is a professional football coach and former player. He is assistant manager at Sheffield United. McCall played in a total of 763 league games and in 40 full international matches for Scotland during his playing career. McCall started his career with Bradford City, where he made his first-team debut in 1982. He played six seasons at Valley Parade, during which time he won the Division Three championship, a title which was overshadowed by the Bradford City stadium fire when 56 people died and in which his father Andy was injured. Nigel Spackman
Nigel James Spackman (born 2 December 1960) is an English football manager, former professional footballer and sports television pundit. As a player he was as a midfielder from 1980 to 1998, notably for Liverpool, Chelsea and Rangers. He also played for AFC Bournemouth, Queens Park Rangers and Sheffield United. He initially started out with Non-league Andover. He took over as player-manager of Sheffield United in 1997, but lasted less than a year. David Alexander Robertson BEM (born 17 October 1968) is a former Scottish football player and coach, who is currently the manager of Scottish League One club Peterhead. Robertson played as a left back for Aberdeen, Rangers, Leeds United, Montrose and represented Scotland. John Brown (born 26 January 1962) is a Scottish former professional footballer who also worked as a manager. Brown played for Hamilton Academical, Dundee and Rangers, primarily as a central defender but also as a left full-back or defensive midfielder. Richard Gough
Charles Richard Gough (born 5 April 1962) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Gough played in the successful Dundee United team of the early 1980s, winning the Scottish league title in 1982–83 and reaching the European Cup semi-final in 1984.
