The 1992 Polish Speedway season was the 1992 season of motorcycle speedway in Poland. Individual Polish Individual Speedway Championship The 1992 Individual Speedway Polish Championship final was held on 6 September at Zielona Góra. Tomasz Gollob won the Polish Championship for the first time. Golden Helmet The 1992 Golden Golden Helmet () organised by the Polish Motor Union (PZM) was the 1992 event for the league's leading riders. The final was held at Wrocław on the 15 October. Tomasz Gollob won the Golden Helmet for the first time and therefore completing the Polish Championship and Golden Helmet double. Piotr Baron (born 5 February 1974) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Baron represented Poland during the 1993 Speedway World Team Cup and won the 1993 Bronze Helmet. He spent the majority of his career riding for Wrocław, where he won three Polish league championships in 2003, 2004 and 2005. After retiring he later became the team manager of Unia Leszno. In 2023, he took a coaching role with the KS Toruń team. Wojciech Załuski (speedway Rider)
Wojciech Załuski (born 5 April 1960) is a Polish prelate of the Catholic Church who has worked in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since 1985. He has been an apostolic nuncio and an archbishop since 2014. Biography He was born in Załuski-Lipniewo, in the centre-east of Poland, on 5 April 1960. He earned a degree in canon law. On 1 June 1985, he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Łomza. Diplomatic career He joined the diplomatic service of the Holy See on 1 July 1989 and filled assignments in Burundi, Malta, Albania, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Georgia, Ukraine, the Philippines, and Guatemala. On 15 July 2014, Pope Francis named him apostolic nuncio to Burundi and titular archbishop of Diocletiana. Andrzej Huszcza
Andrzej Huszcza (born 10 March 1957 in Krępa, Poland) is a Polish former international motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 45 international caps for the Poland speedway team. Career Huszcza rode for Falubaz Zielona Góra for thirty years from 1975 until 2005. He then spent two seasons with PSŻ Poznań before finally retiring aged fifty. Huszcza spent two seasons in the UK riding for Leicester Lions in the British League in addition to the Hackney Hawks and Reading Racers. Huszcza was a reserve (but did not ride) in the 1988 World Final in Vojens, Denmark. In 2008, he returned to ZKŻ Zielona Góra as coach. Personal life Huszcza is the father of three daughters. Roman Jankowski (born 5 October 1957 in Kościan, Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 47 international caps for the Poland speedway team and was twice champion of Poland. Career Jancarz rode from 1976 until 2006. He won the Polish Championship, title twice, in 1981 and again in 1988. Roman has also represented Poland at the World Team Cup. He rode for the Hackney Hawks in 1980 and 1981. Currently he is the youth coach and manager of Unia Leszno. Personal life Roman's three sons, Łukasz, Marcin and Norbert are all speedway riders. Jacek Rempała
Jacek Rempała (born 16 February 1971) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned 8 caps for the Poland national speedway team. Career Rempała represented Poland during the 1991 Speedway World Team Cup. He rode in Poland for 27 years and spent much of it with Unia Tarnów (motorcycle speedway), Unia Tarnów. He won the 1991 Silver Helmet (Poland), Silver Helmet and the 1993 Bronze Helmet (Poland), Bronze Helmet. He first rode in Britain when he signed for the Ipswich Witches for the 1992 British League season. He did not return to Britain again until 2006, when he joined the Berwick Bandits. Family His brothers, Marcin Rempala, Grzegorz Rempała (speedway rider), Grzegorz Rempała and Tomasz Rempała were also speedway riders. His son Krystian Rempala was tragically killed in a speedway accident while riding in Poland during 2016.
