1992 Dow Classic
The 1992 Dow Classic was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts that was part of Tier IV of the 1992 WTA Tour. It was the 11th edition of the event and the last to be named the "Dow Classic" before the tournament sponsor changed to DFS. It took place at the Edgbaston Priory Club in Birmingham, United Kingdom from 8 June until 14 June 1992. WTA Tier IV Tournaments
The WTA Tier IV tournaments were Women's Tennis Association fourth-level tournaments held from 1990 until the end of the 2008 season. The line-up of events varied over the years, with tournaments being promoted, demoted or cancelled. Some of the tournaments became Tier V events between 1990 and 1992, and later from 2001 to 2005, before being integrated back into Tier IV. Larisa Savchenko
Larisa Savchenko-Neiland (, ; née Savchenko; also Larisa Neiland; born 21 July 1966) is a tennis coach and former professional player who represented the Soviet Union and Latvia. A former world No. 1 doubles player, Neiland won six Grand Slam titles: two in women's doubles and four in mixed doubles. She also won two singles titles and 63 doubles titles on the WTA Tour. Elise Burgin (born March 5, 1962) is a retired American tennis player. She achieved WTA rankings of 22 in singles and 7 in doubles. Personal life Burgin, who is Jewish, was born in Baltimore, Maryland and grew up in Maryland. Clare Jacqueline Wood (born 8 March 1968) is a former British number 1 tennis player from Great Britain who began playing professionally in 1984 and retired in 1998.
