The 1992 Algerian Super Cup is the 2nd edition of Algerian Super Cup, a football match contested by the winners of the 1991–92 Algerian Championnat National, Championnat National and 1991–92 Algerian Cup competitions. Algerian Super Cup
The Algerian Super Cup () is an Algerian football competition, held as a game between the reigning champions of the Algerian League and the Algerian Cup. The first edition was held in 1981 and then again in 1992, 1994 and 1995 before being scrapped. The game returned in 2006 but would be scrapped again after the 2007 edition, returning once again in 2013. The current holders are CR Belouizdad, who beat USM Alger in the 2019 final, played in November 2020. MC Alger is the most successful club in the competition, having won the trophy three times. The 5 July 1962 Stadium () (the name refers to 5 July 1962, the day Algeria declared independence), is a football and athletics stadium located in Algiers, Algeria. The stadium was inaugurated in 1972 with a capacity of 95,000. It served as the main stadium of the 1975 Mediterranean Games, the 1978 All-Africa Games, the 2004 Pan Arab Games, and the 2007 All-Africa Games. The stadium was one of two venues for the 1990 African Cup of Nations (the other venue was the 19 May 1956 Stadium in Annaba). It hosted 9 matches of the tournament, including the final, which had a second record attendance of 105,302 spectators. The home team Algeria defeated Nigeria 1–0 in the final to win the tournament. Si-Tahar Chérif El-Ouazzani (; born 10 July 1967) is an Algerian former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. Career Born in Oran, Chérif El-Ouazzani started his career with hometown MC Oran in 1983. In his first season, he would lead the club to its first league title in 17 years. Noureddine Saâdi (6 May 1950 – 20 July 2021) was an Algerian football manager who was managing JSM Béjaïa in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.
