The Football League ( el, Φούτμπολ Λιγκ) was the second highest professional football league in Greece since its inception in 1962 as ''Beta Ethniki'' and until 2019. It then served as a third tier after the creation of the Super League 2 as the new second tier and it was eventually abolished in 2021 when the 2021–22 Super League 2 went from a 12 team to a 36 team league, absorbing most of the clubs from the Football League. Michalis Ziogas
Michalis Ziogas (Greek: Μιχάλης Ζιώγας; born 27 June 1962) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as a centre forward. He played for AEL from 1982 to 1989 being one of the greatest players the club ever had. He was the team's head coach from 20 March 2012, until his dismissal on 8 January 2013. Vasilios Tsiartas
Vasilios Tsiartas ( el, Βασίλειος Τσιάρτας; born 12 November 1972) is a Greek former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Although he was famed for his lackadaisical playing style, his ability was never in question and he was in many ways the epitome of a classic "number 10" player. ''"El Mago"'', as was his nickname, was naturally left-footed but was just as dangerous with his right foot. A great football mind, a literally world-class vertical pass, amazing set-up and amazing long-range shots. 1992–93 Gamma Ethniki The 1992–93 Gamma Ethniki was the tenth season since the official establishment of the third tier of Greek football in 1983. Kallithea and Anagennisi Karditsa were crowned champions in ''Southern'' and ''Northern'' Group respectively, thus winning promotion to Beta Ethniki. Kalamata and Veria also won promotion as a runners-up of the groups. The 1992–93 Alpha Ethniki was the 57th season of the highest football league of Greece. The season began on 5 September 1992 and ended on 6 June 1993. AEK Athens won their second consecutive and tenth Greek title. This was the first season in which the new points system was introduced ''(Win: 3 points - Draw: 1 point - Loss: 0 points)'', replacing the corresponding 2–1–0 and remained as it is since then. Levadiakos Football Club ( el, ΠΑΕ Λεβαδειακός) is a Greek professional football club that plays in the Super League Greece. Based in Livadeia, Greece, the club was promoted to the Alpha Ethniki, forerunner of the Super League, after ten seasons in minor divisions in the 2005–06 season, as runner-up of the Football League in 2004–05.
