1990 UEFA Super Cup
The 1990 European Super Cup was played between 1989–90 European Cup winners Milan and 1989–90 European Cup Winners' Cup winners Sampdoria, with Milan winning 3–1 on aggregate. Milan chose to play their home leg away from their home city due to the poor condition of the turf at the San Siro Stadium, which had hosted several matches at the recent 1990 FIFA World Cup. Stadio Luigi Ferraris
The Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris, also known as the Marassi from the name of the neighbourhood where it is located, is a multi-use stadium in Genoa, Italy. The home of Genoa C.F.C. and U.C. Sampdoria football clubs, it opened in 1911 and is the oldest stadium still in use for football and other sports in Italy. Aside from football, the stadium has hosted meetings of rugby in the Italian national rugby team and, more rarely, some concerts. Gianluca Pagliuca (; born 18 December 1966) is an Italian football coach and former professional goalkeeper. He is regarded by pundits as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his generation, and one of Italy's best keepers ever. Giulio Nuciari
Giulio Nuciari (born 26 April 1960) is an Italian football coach and former player who played as a goalkeeper. Career Nuciari was born in Piovene Rocchette, Province of Vicenza. He started his playing career with Montecatini, on loan from Ternana. After two seasons with Ternana, he signed for A.C. Milan where he served as backup goalkeeper, making 28 league appearances in six seasons, with 18 of them in his first season. After a season as first-choice keeper for Monza, he then signed for Sampdoria, where he was again a backup, behind Gianluca Pagliuca (1989–1994) and then Walter Zenga (1994–1995). He retired in 1995, and then obtained a coaching license. Roberto Mancini (; born 27 November 1964) is an Italian football manager and former player who was most recently the head coach of the Saudi Arabia national team. Marco Branca (born 6 January 1965) is an Italian former professional footballer who played as a striker and was, until February 2014, sporting director of Serie A club Internazionale. Marco Lanna (; born 13 July 1968) is an Italian former professional footballer who played at both club and international levels as a defender. Playing career Born in Genoa, Lanna began his career with Sampdoria, moving to Roma with a four-year agreement for 800 million lire per year.
