The 1990 Tour de Suisse was the 54th edition of the Tour de Suisse cycle race and was held from 13 June to 22 June 1990. The race started in Winterthur and finished in Zürich. John James 'Sean' Kelly (born 24 May 1956) is an Irish former professional road bicycle racer, one of the most successful road cyclists of the 1980s, and one of the finest Classic cycle races, Classics riders of all time. From becoming a professional in 1977 until his retirement in 1994, he won 193 professional races, including nine Cycling monument, Monument Classics, Paris–Nice a record seven years consecutively and the first UCI Road World Cup in 1989. Kelly won one Grand Tour (cycling), Grand Tour, the 1988 Vuelta a España, and four Points classification in the Tour de France, green jerseys in the Tour de France. He achieved multiple victories in the Giro di Lombardia, Milan–San Remo, Paris–Roubaix and Liège–Bastogne–Liège, as well as three runners-up placings in the only Monument he failed to win, the Tour of Flanders. PDM (cycling Team)
PDM () was a Dutch professional cycling team from 1986 until the end of 1992. Gin-MG was co-sponsor in Spanish races and Cidona was co-sponsor in the 1991 Nissan Classic. The team was sponsored by Philips Dupont Magnetics, a joint venture between the electronics company, Philips, and the chemical company, DuPont. The team rode Concorde bicycles, manufactured in Italy, by several builders that were colour coordinated to the team jersey by Ultima. History Roy Schuiten was team manager and Jan Gisbers directeur sportif in 1986. Gisbers took over as the team manager the following year and remained until 1992. He was joined by Piet van der Kruijs and Ferdi van den Haute. The team was owned by Manfred Krikke, of Veltec Rentmeester. Eddy Bouwmans (born 30 January 1968) is a Dutch former road bicycle racer. Bouwmans currently works as a Hospitality Coordinator for UCI WorldTeam . Career In 1989 at the Tour DuPont Bouwmans finished third in the opening time-trial less than four seconds behind the winner. Bouwmans won the young rider classification in the 1992 Tour de France. He finished fourteenth in the Tour that year. In 1996 Bouwmans came ninth at the Tour of Austria. Atle Sturla Kvålsvoll (born 10 April 1962) is a Norwegian former professional road cyclist. He rode the Tour de France six times between 1988 and 1994, finishing four times. His best performance was in 1990, when he finished 26th and contributed to Greg LeMond's winning the yellow jersey. He competed in the individual road race event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Kvålsvoll finished second in the American Tour DuPont in 1990, 1991 and 1992 and then finished 3rd in 1993. He also won a stage in 1991 and 1992. Kvålsvoll is employed by the Norwegian sports organisation Olympiatoppen and was Thor Hushovd's coach.
