The 1990 Soviet football championship was the 59th seasons of competitive football (soccer), football in the Soviet Union. FC Dynamo Kyiv, Dinamo Kiev won the Top League championship becoming the Soviet domestic champions for the thirteenth time. 1990 Soviet Top League
The 1990 Soviet Top League season was the 53rd since its establishment. FC Spartak Moscow, Spartak Moscow were the defending 12-times champions, but came only fifth this season and marginally qualified for continental competitions. The league was shortened and a total of fourteen teams participated. By the start of the season both Georgian teams had withdrawn followed by another withdrawal from Žalgiris at the start of competition. The league consisted of ten teams contested in the 1989 Soviet Top League, 1989 season and the Army club promoted from the Soviet First League. The representatives of the Baltic states as well as Georgia (country), Georgia chose not to take part in the competition. The season began on 1 March with the game between Dnipro and Rotor and lasted until 20 October 1990. The season was won by FC Dynamo Kyiv. FC Tekstilshchik Kamyshin (Russian: Футбольный клуб «Текстильщик» Камышин; Futbol'niy Klub "Tekstilshchik" Kamyshin) is a Russian football club based in Kamyshin, Volgograd Oblast. In the 1990s the club spent five seasons in the Russian Top Division and played in the UEFA Cup. History Tekstilshchik played in the Soviet Second League since 1988 and were promoted to the First League after the 1990 season. After finishing 11th in 1991 they were entitled to enter the Russian Top Division formed after the dissolution of the USSR. In 1993 Tekstilshchik finished fourth in the league, achieving the best result in the club's history. In 1996–1997 the club suffered two consecutive relegations (17th in Top Division in 1996, 19th in First Division in 1997). FC Presnya Moscow () was a Russian football team based in Moscow. It was founded in 1978 as FC Krasnaya Presnya Moscow. It participated in the third-tier Soviet Second League and was notable for giving the start for the careers of Oleg Romantsev, Vasili Kulkov and Aleksandr Mostovoi. Soviet Second League B
The Soviet Second League B or Soviet Lower Second League was an auxiliary fourth tier of the Soviet league system, because it was not consistent as it existed only for six seasons and somewhat randomly. It was the fourth highest division of Soviet football, below the Soviet Second League. Description It was introduced initially for three seasons (two tiers) at the inception of Soviet league football in 1936 as the "Group G" until 1938 when all teams were allowed to compete in one ''Super League''. At that time it consisted of a single group. At the first championships two of them occurred in 1936, it contained around five teams. In 1937 the league was increased to 12 participants.
