Alexander Vladimirovich Volkov ( ; 3 March 1967 – 19 October 2019) was a Russian professional tennis player. Tennis career Volkov finished runner-up in three tournaments over 1989 and 1990; in the latter year he defeated World No. 1 Stefan Edberg in straight sets in the first round of the US Open. Volkov won his first top-level professional singles title in 1991 at Milan. At Wimbledon that year, he lost a close match in the fourth round to the eventual tournament champion Michael Stich, 4–6, 6–3, 7–5, 1–6, 7–5 despite winning the same number of games as Stich overall in the match, which hinged on a lucky shot hit by the German when he was trailing 4–5 in the final set. Marc Rosset
Marc Rosset (; born 7 November 1970) is a Swiss former professional tennis player. He is best known for winning the men's singles gold medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He also won a major doubles title, at the French Open in 1992 partnering compatriot Jakob Hlasek. Career Rosset turned professional in 1988 and won his first tour singles title in 1989 in Geneva as a wildcard, defeating Guillermo Pérez Roldán. His first doubles title was won in Geneva as well in 1991 with partner Sergi Bruguera. 1992 was the pinnacle of Rosset's career. Thomas Högstedt (born 21 September 1963) is a Swedish tennis coach and former professional player. He is the former coach of Tommy Haas, Magnus Norman, Eugenie Bouchard, Caroline Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova, Li Na, Simona Halep, Madison Keys and Johanna Konta. Goran Prpić
Goran Prpić (; born 4 May 1964) is a Croatian tennis coach and former professional tennis player, who played for SFR Yugoslavia and Croatia. Biography Prpić was born in Zagreb, at the time in SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia. He turned professional in 1984. His career was nearly ended by a serious knee injury in February 1986. After a surgery, Prpić spent two years recovering before returning to the Tour. For the rest of his playing career, he wore a custom-made knee brace. Jens Wöhrmann (born 8 September 1967) is a former professional tennis player from Germany. Career Wöhrmann had a win over world number nine Jakob Hlasek en route to a semi-final exit at the Stuttgart Outdoor tournament in 1989. He finished the season well, making the quarter-finals in Frankfurt and in the Stockholm Open. Aki Rahunen (born 24 December 1971) is a former professional tennis player from Finland. Career Rahunen was the 1989 winner of the Under-18s European Junior Tennis Championships, held in Prague. He performed well in the 1990 ATP Tour, reaching quarter finals at Stuttgart, Umag and Båstad. In Stuttgart he defeated top 50 players Javier Sánchez and Amos Mansdorf, both in straight sets.
