Grand Prix Tennis Circuit
The ITF Grand Prix Circuit was a professional tennis tour for male players founded in 1970 as the ILTF Grand Prix Tennis Circuit it was administered by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and ran annually until 1989 when it and the rival WCT Circuit were replaced by a single world wide ATP Tour. The women's tour the ILTF Women's International Grand Prix Circuit ran from 1971 to 1976. It's events were absorbed to form the Colgate International Series. A hardcourt (or hard court) is a type of surface or floor on which a sport is played, most usually in reference to tennis courts. It is typically made of rigid materials such as Asphalt concrete, asphalt or concrete, and covered with acrylic resins to seal the surface and mark the playing lines, while providing some cushioning. Schenectady ( ) is a City (New York), city in Schenectady County, New York, United States, of which it is the county seat. As of the United States Census 2020, 2020 census, the city's population of 67,047 made it the state's ninth-most populous city and the twenty-fifth most-populous municipality. Jaime Yzaga Tori (born 23 October 1967) is a Peruvian former professional tennis player. He reached two major singles quarterfinals during his career, at the 1991 Australian Open and the 1994 US Open. Tennis career As a junior, Yzaga won the French Open in 1985 and reached the semifinals of Wimbledon (also in 1985) and of the US Open ( 1984). Gary Muller
Gary Muller (born 27 December 1964) is a former professional South African tennis player. Muller turned pro in 1985. His 12-year career included wins over Andre Agassi, Jim Courier, Michael Chang and Stefan Edberg. Muller's best singles result at a Grand Slam was reaching the third round in the 1987 Australian Open in which he lost to Miloslav Mečíř of Czechoslovakia. A more successful doubles player than singles, Muller won eight doubles titles in his career with six different partners and reached a career highest ranking of 7th in November 1993. Jim Pugh
Jim Pugh (born February 5, 1964) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. He grew up in Palos Verdes, California and at age 10 began taking tennis lessons from John Hillebrand. He played tennis at UCLA. He became a doubles specialist on the ATP Tour and won three Grand Slam men's doubles titles (two Australian Open, one Wimbledon) and five Grand Slam mixed doubles titles (three Australian Open, one Wimbledon, one US Open). Pugh reached the world No. 1 doubles ranking in 1989. Career Pugh was a member of the U.S. team that won the Davis Cup in 1990. Partnering with Rick Leach, he won the doubles rubbers in all four of the rounds which the U.S. played in that year and clinched the team's victory in the final with a win over Pat Cash and John Fitzgerald of Australia. Brad Pearce (born March 21, 1966) is a former tennis player from the United States, who turned professional in 1986. He won four doubles titles during his career. The right-hander reached his highest singles ATP ranking on October 8, 1990, when he became the World No. 71. Pearce was inducted into the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Hall of Fame. Career 1987 Pearce started off his new season playing doubles, reaching four finals. Three of those were on the Grand Prix tennis circuit.
