David Liu (figure Skater)
David Liu (; born August 12, 1965) is a Taiwanese former competitive figure skater. He won silver medals at the 1991 Piruetten and 1992 Grand Prix International St. Gervais. He represented Taiwan at three Olympics, reaching the free skate at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville, where he finished 17th. Early life Liu was born on August 12, 1965 in Taipei, Taiwan. He moved to the United States when he was six years old. Career Competitive Liu began skating in 1973. At the 1990 World Championships, he became the last male skater to perform a compulsory figure in a major ISU event before they were discontinued. Gillian Wachsman
Gillian Margaret Wachsman (born September 19, 1966) is an American former pair skater. With Todd Waggoner, she is the 1985 NHK Trophy champion, 1985 Skate America bronze medalist, and 1986 U.S. national champion. The pair competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics, placing fifth, and at three World Championships, placing as high as fourth. Career Early in her career, Gillian Wachsman competed with Robert Daw. They placed fourth at the 1984 Skate America and won the pewter medal twice at the U.S. Championships. Wachsman teamed up with Todd Waggoner in the autumn of 1984. In their first season together, they took the bronze medal at the U.S. Championships. Gennadi Viacheslavovich Krasnitski (Vanisyan) (russian: Геннадий Вячеславович Красницкий (Ванисян), 7 September 1968) is a former Soviet pair skater. Jiang Yibing
Jiang Yibing (born February 17, 1970) is a Chinese figure skater. She represented China at the 1988 Winter Olympics, where she placed 25th. She also competed at the 1985 World Figure Skating Championships, where she placed 23rd. Following her retirement from competitive skating, she served as an international and ISU Judge, and as an ISU Technical Specialist for China. After coaching for many years in China, she moved to Canada and began coaching there in March 2007 under the name Jennifer Jiang. Tracy-Lee Brook (born 8 July 1971) is an Australian former competitive figure skater. She is a three-time Australian national champion (1986–87 to 1988–89) and competed at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Career Due to a stress fracture in her foot, Brook decided to undergo acupuncture treatment in November 1984. Nancy Kerrigan
Nancy Ann Kerrigan (born October 13, 1969) is an American figure skater and actress. She won bronze medals at the 1991 World Championships and the 1992 Winter Olympics, silver medals at the 1992 World Championships and the 1994 Winter Olympics, as well as the 1993 US National Figure Skating Championship. Kerrigan was inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2004. In January 1994, an assailant used a police baton to strike Kerrigan on her landing knee; the attacker was hired by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding. The attack injured Kerrigan, but she quickly recovered. (''née'' Ozawa) is a Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. She won the 1983 Japan Figure Skating Championships and 1986 Winter Asian Games, 1985 Winter Universiade. Early career Osada showed much promise as a young skater in her mid-teen years. Tonya Harding
Tonya Maxene Price (née Harding; born November 12, 1970) is an American former figure skater, retired boxer and a reality television personality. Born in Portland, Oregon, Harding was raised primarily by her mother, who enrolled her in ice skating lessons beginning at three years old. Harding spent much of her early life training, eventually dropping out of high school to devote her time to the sport. After climbing the ranks in the U.S. Figure Skating Championships between 1986 and 1989, Harding won the 1989 Skate America competition.
