The National League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. Along with the American League Central, it is one of two divisions to have every member win at least one World Series title. After having internal, informal divisions for scheduling purposes during the pre-expansion era, the division was formally created when the National League (baseball), National League (NL) (along with the American League) added two expansion teams and divided into two divisions, East and West effective for the 1969 season. The National League's geographical alignment was rather peculiar as its partitioning was really more north and south instead of east and west. Jacques Doucet (sportscaster)
Jacques Doucet (born March 8, 1940) is a retired Canadian radio announcer of baseball play-by-play in the French language. He broadcast Montreal Expos games for every year of the team's existence, from 1969 to 2004. After commenting on the Québec Capitales from 2006 to 2010, he became the French play-by-play voice of the Toronto Blue Jays on TVA Sports from 2011 until his retirement in 2022. Early career Doucet began his career in 1959 as a translator for the Canadian Press news agency. Nelson Norman
Nelson Augusto Norman (born May 23, 1958) is a Dominican-American former professional baseball player, coach and manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a shortstop from to for the Texas Rangers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. He returned to the major leagues in with the Montreal Expos. After his playing career he continued to serve in minor league baseball as a coach and manager for several professional baseball organizations. Baltimore Orioles

Steve Baker (baseball)
Steven Byrne Baker (born August 30, 1956) is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher who played for four seasons. He pitched for the Detroit Tigers from 1978 to 1979, the Oakland Athletics from 1982 to 1983, and the St. Louis Cardinals in 1983. He was originally drafted by the New York Mets in the 18th round of the 1974 MLB Draft, but did not sign with them, instead choosing to attend college at the University of Oregon. With things not working out in Oregon, Baker left school his freshman year and returned to El Cajon, California. Baker regrouped and was masterful in a season with the Grossmont Junior College Baseball team in El Cajon and he signed with the Detroit Tigers as an amateur free agent on May 10, 1976. Roy Johnson (1980s Outfielder)
Roy Edward Johnson (June 27, 1959 – January 26, 2009) was an American professional baseball outfielder who appeared in 36 games in Major League Baseball (MLB), mainly as a center fielder, in parts of three seasons for the Montreal Expos (, –). Listed at tall and , the native of Parkin, Arkansas, batted and threw left-handed. He was selected by the Expos in the fifth round of the 1980 Major League Baseball Draft out of Tennessee State University. Johnson was a distinguished hitter in the minors, but he was not able to translate it to major league success. Razor Shines
Anthony Razor Shines (born July 18, 1956) is an American former professional baseball player and coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) during parts of four seasons for the Montreal Expos, primarily as a first baseman. He later served as a base coach for the Chicago White Sox and New York Mets. Career Playing career Shines was born in Durham, North Carolina. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the 18th round of the 1978 MLB Draft out of St. Augustine's College in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mel Rojas
Melquíades Rojas Medrano (born December 10, 1966) is a Dominican former Major League Baseball (MLB) relief pitcher. From 1990 to 1999, he played for the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, New York Mets and Los Angeles Dodgers of the National League and the Detroit Tigers of the American League. Career His best season was in 1992, when he posted a 7-1 record in 68 relief appearances. Rojas had an amazing 1.43 ERA in 100.2 innings, and a WHIP of 1.043.
