The PBA on Vintage Sports was a branding used for presentation of Philippine Basketball Association games produced by Vintage Sports, a sports-oriented media company and was aired on Philippine television networks City2 Television from 1982 to 1984, Maharlika Broadcasting System (later renamed as People's Television Network) from 1985 to 1995, and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation from 1996 to 1999. Arnie Tuadles
Arnulfo "Arnie" Tuadles (August 15, 1956 – November 2, 1996) was a Filipino professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Career Tuadles began his career as a stalwart in the MICAA, playing for the Manilabank Golden Bankers in the mid-1970s before peddling his wares with the San Miguel Braves. He was one of the many talented Visayan players who donned the SMB uniform in the MICAA as the company was one of the movers and believers of tapping basketball talents from the grassroots. He, along with Marlowe Jacutin, Salvador Ramas and Melchor Ravanes, were top Cebuano cagers in the Cebu league. Abe King
Abraham Columbus M. King, Jr. (born July 23, 1957) is a Filipino former basketball player who was part of the champion Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ballclub Toyota Tamaraws. He was the starting center of 1976 MICAA champion Crown Motors before its PBA parent team, the Toyota Tamaraws, called upon his services at the start of the 1977 PBA season. Despite being renowned for his defensive prowess, King had recorded a 60-point game. Ricardo Brown (basketball)
Ricardo Vidal Brown (born May 22, 1957) is a Filipino-American former professional basketball player. His moniker was The Quick Brown Fox. Career Brown played for a diverse set of colleges in the United States. His performances became notable that he would later be drafted by the Houston Rockets for the 59th overall pick in the 3rd Round of the 1979 NBA Draft. Though he was not signed to any team, Brown continued to play collegiate basketball, eventually being discovered by Eduardo Cojuangco Jr. in the United States and would thereafter move to the Philippines. The Great Taste Coffee Makers were a basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) from 1975 to 1992. It was one of the founding members of the PBA, the Asia's first and oldest professional league. The franchise was owned by CFC Corporation (now merged with Universal Robina Corporation) and named after its brand of instant coffee, Great Taste Coffee. The franchise also played under other CFC brands such as N-Rich, Presto and Tivoli. The franchise won six PBA championships, mostly under coach Baby Dalupan. Norman Augustus Black (born November 12, 1957) is an American former professional basketball player who played in the CBA, NBA, and PBA. He's the current head coach for the Meralco Bolts. The Philippine Institute of Sports Multi-Purpose Arena or PhilSports Arena is an indoor sporting arena located inside the PhilSports Complex in Pasig, Philippines. It was formerly known as the University of Life Theater and Recreational Arena or the ULTRA. The arena is part of the PhilSports Complex which is maintained by the Philippine Sports Commission. The 1985 Manila Beer Brewmasters season was the 2nd season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Transactions Occurrences Manila Beer’s first import in the Open Conference, Doug Harris, played seven games and was replaced by the comebacking Lew Brown, who is on his third PBA stint after playing previously with Great Taste in 1980 and Crispa in 1982. Coach Loreto Carbonell was replaced by former U-Tex import Aaron James to be the team's new head coach starting the All-Filipino Conference.
