The 1984 NCAA Division III Lacrosse Championship was the fifth annual tournament to determine the national champions of NCAA Division III men's college lacrosse in the United States. NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Tournament
The NCAA Division III men's lacrosse tournament is the annual championship in men's Field lacrosse, lacrosse held by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, NCAA for teams competing in NCAA Division III, Division III. After the inauguration of the NCAA Division I championship in 1971, the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association, USILA added a "small college" tournament for two years. Hobart defeated Washington College 15-12 to win the 1972 USILA title. And Cortland State beat Washington College to win the 1973 title, 13-8. The NCAA conducted a combined Division II and III tournament for the 1974 through 1979 seasons, followed by separate tournaments for Division II and Division III beginning in 1980. 1984 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship
The 1984 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship was the third annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national championship of NCAA women's college lacrosse. The championship game was played at Nickerson Field in Boston, Massachusetts during May 1984. The Temple Owls won their first championship after defeating the Maryland Terrapins in the final, 6–4. The leading scorer for the tournament, for the second straight year, was Karen Emas, from Delaware, with 20 goals. The 1984 NCAA Division I lacrosse tournament was the 14th annual tournament hosted by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the team champion of men's college lacrosse among its Division I programs, held at the end of the 1984 NCAA Division I men's lacrosse season. The Salisbury Sea Gulls (formerly the Salisbury State Sea Gulls) are the athletic teams that represent Salisbury University, located in Salisbury, Maryland, in NCAA Division III intercollegiate sports. The Cortland Red Dragons men's lacrosse team represents SUNY Cortland in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III men's lacrosse. The RIT Tigers are composed of 22 teams representing the Rochester Institute of Technology in intercollegiate athletics, including men's and women's basketball, crew, cross country, cheerleading, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track and field.
