Mito Kōmon
is a Japanese ''jidaigeki'' or period drama that was on prime-time television from 1969 to 2011, making it the longest-running ''jidaigeki'' in Japanese television history. The title character is the historic Tokugawa Mitsukuni, former vice-''shōgun'' and retired second ''daimyō'' of the Mito Domain. In the guise of Mitsuemon, a retired crepe merchant from Echigo, he roams Japan with two samurai retainers, fun-loving Sasaki Sukesaburō (Suke-san) and studious Atsumi Kakunoshin (Kaku-san). An episode typically starts with some injustice perpetrated by a corrupt official, a wealthy merchant, or a gangster. Hello! Sandybell
is an anime series made by Toei Animation in 1981. It was aired in Japan by TV Asahi. In the original title when it was first made in Japan, an "E" was added to the title; "Sandybelle". Similarly to ''Silver Fang'', the show is relatively unknown in the U.S. but was quite popular in Asia, Latin America, Arab countries and Europe, particularly Scandinavia. is a mecha anime television series that aired from 1981 to 1982 in Japan. The show was also popular in Hong Kong and was aired there around the same time. There are 52 episodes that were aired at 30 minutes each. Original story The story is about a young boy named Hiro Taikai who finds a gold lighter which turns out to be the giant Golden Warrior Gold Lightan, who has the mission to save the Earth from an invasion by King Ibalda. is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Takao Yaguchi. The manga was serialised in Kodansha's ''Weekly Shōnen Magazine'' from 1973 to 1983. Beast King GoLion
is a Japanese super mecha anime television series. The animation from ''GoLion'' was edited and trimmed to create the version of the American series '' Voltron: Defender of the Universe'', with new names and dialogue. Urusei Yatsura
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. It was serialized in Shogakukan's ''Weekly Shōnen Sunday'' from September 1978 to February 1987. Its 366 individual chapters were collected in 34 ''tankōbon'' volumes. It tells the story of Ataru Moroboshi, and the alien Lum (Urusei Yatsura), Lum, who believes she is Ataru's wife after he accidentally proposes to her. is a Japanese talent show from Nippon Television that ran from 1971 to 1983. On October 24, 1982, the series was retitled to reflect its switch from monaural to stereo broadcasting. On April 3, 1983, it was again retitled to . The show was created by songwriter Yū Aku, who also served as one of the judges.
