1981 Norwegian Second Division
The 1981 1. divisjon, 2. divisjon was a Norwegian second-tier football league season. The league was contested by 24 teams, divided into two groups: A and B. Both groups consisted of 12 teams. The winners of groups A and B were promoted to the 1982 1. division. The second-placed teams in groups A and B met the 10th-best finisher in 1. divisjon in a qualification round where the winner was promoted to 1. divisjon. The bottom three teams in both groups were relegated to the 3. division. Mjøndalen won group A with 31 points. Sogndal won Group B with 31 points. Both teams were promoted to the 1982 1. Division. The second-placed teams, Pors and Molde, met Brann in the promotion play-offs. Molde won the qualification round on goal difference and won promotion. Mjøndalen IF Fotball – commonly known as Mjøndalen IF, and colloquially as Mjøndar'n or MIF – is the football department of Mjøndalen IF. Founded in 1910, the club is located in Mjøndalen, Buskerud, Norway. The team plays its home matches in the 4,350-capacity Consto Arena. Fotballklubben Bodø/Glimt (), also referred to as Bodø/Glimt or its former name Glimt, is a Norwegian professional football club from the town of Bodø in Bodø Municipality, Nordland county, Norway. FK Mjølner is a Norwegian football club based in the town of Narvik in Narvik Municipality, Nordland county, Norway. It currently plays in the 4. divisjon, after having been relegated from the 3. divisjon in 2024. The club played at the top tier in 1972 and 1989. History It is named after Mjöllnir in Norse mythology. It was formed in 1932 when ''Støa Mjølner'' (until 1926: ''FK Steady 1919 Mjølner'') and ''King Mjølner'' (until 1921: ''FK Freidig 1918 Mjølner'') merged.
