Maciej Jaworek (born 24 February 1961) is a former international Motorcycle speedway, speedway rider from Poland. Speedway career A protégé of Falubaz Zielona Góra, he started competing for them in 1978, when he obtained his license. Recognized as one of the most dynamic riders of the Zielona Góra club, his career development coincided with the club's successes. Following the departure of Henryk Olszak, he, along with Andrzej Huszcza and Jan Krzystyniak, became known as the "three musketeers," forming the backbone of Zielona Góra's speedway strength. In the national speedway scene, he won almost everything. He was open to innovations from the West and effectively utilized the technical capabilities of the English Weslake factory. Mariusz Okoniewski
Mariusz Okoniewski (10 February 1956, in Poznań – 10 February 2006, in Śmigiel) was a Polish motorcycle speedway rider. Career Okoniewski won the Team Speedway Polish Championship six times and Polish Silver Helmet in 1976. His son Rafał (born 1980) is also a speedway rider. Rafał is the only double Individual U-19 European Champion. After his racing career he became a coach. Mariusz Okoniewski died on his 50th birthday. Robert Słaboń (born 15 September 1953) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. He earned 11 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Speedway career Słaboń reached the final of the Speedway World Championship in the 1979 Individual Speedway World Championship. He has twice won the bronze medal at the Polish Individual Speedway Championship. He rode in the top tier of British Speedway, riding for Eastbourne Eagles during the 1981 British League season but disappointed scoring a season average of only 2.89. Bolesław Proch (4 February 1952 – 22 December 2012) was a Polish international motorcycle speedway rider. He earned 15 international caps for the Poland national speedway team. Early life and career Born in Świebodzin, Proch first rode for Falubaz in his home town of Zielona Góra in 1973, winning the Polish Junior Championship the following year and finishing fourth in the Silver Helmet tournament. In 1976 he rode in the British League for Reading Racers, averaging over five points per match.
