Larry Lloyd
Laurence Valentine Lloyd (6 October 1948 – 28 March 2024) was an English professional football player and coach. A defender, he won domestic and European honours for both Bill Shankly's Liverpool and Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest in the 1970s. He was also an England international. Playing career Early years Lloyd started playing local football with Henbury Old Boys before being signed by Bristol Rovers. He made his debut on 10 August 1968 at Eastville in a 1–1 draw against Watford. Liverpool Rovers accepted a £50,000 bid for Lloyd on 22 April 1969 with manager Bill Shankly looking for a long-term successor to ageing skipper and defender Ron Yeats. Lloyd broke into the team later that year, making his debut on 27 September in a league game at The Hawthorns. Liverpool drew 2–2 with West Bromwich Albion. Juan Manuel Asensi
Juan Manuel Asensi Ripoll (born 23 September 1949) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Club career Born in Alicante, Valencian Community, Asensi began his career at local Elche – at the time in La Liga – before joining Barcelona in 1970, for 80 million pesetas. During his time at the club, he was instrumental in helping the Catalans win the league in 1974 (34 matches, 11 goals, third-best in squad), also adding the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1979 and scoring in the final held in Basel. After only ten matches in the 1980–81 season, but 484 competitive appearances with 124 goals, 32-year-old Asensi moved to Mexico where he would play until his retirement in 1983. Quique Costas
Enrique "Quique" Álvarez Costas (; born 16 January 1947) is a Spanish former professional football defensive midfielder and manager. He played 229 La Liga matches over the course of 11 seasons (nine goals), in representation of Celta and Barcelona. Costas began a lengthy coaching career in the late 80s, mainly being in charge of Barcelona B. Club career Born in Vigo, Galicia, Costas began his professional career with local club RC Celta de Vigo in 1965. Antonio Olmo
Antonio Olmo Ramírez (born 18 January 1954) is a Spanish retired football defender and manager. Club career Olmo was born in Sabadell, Barcelona, Catalonia. A loan spell with amateurs CF Calella notwithstanding, he played his entire senior career with FC Barcelona, his first two seasons being spent with the B-team in Segunda División. He made his La Liga debut on 5 September 1976 in a 4–0 home win against UD Las Palmas, going on to be first-choice in that and the following five seasons, often partnering Migueli as stopper. During his spell with the ''Blaugrana'', Olmo won a total of seven major titles, including three Copa del Rey trophies and two UEFA Cup Winners' Cup tournaments, contributing with 16 games and one goal combined to the latter conquests. Miguel Bernardo Bianquetti (born 19 December 1951), known as Migueli, is a Spanish former professional footballer who played as a central defender. A player of immense physical power – he was nicknamed ''Tarzan''– he was best known for his Barcelona spell, one that lasted 15 years. Pedro María Artola Urrutia (born 6 September 1948) is a Spanish former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. During his 14-year professional career he represented Real Sociedad and Barcelona, appearing in 217 La Liga matches. Brian Clough
Brian Howard Clough ( ; 21 March 1935 – 20 September 2004) was an English football player and manager, primarily known for his successes as a manager with Derby County and Nottingham Forest. He is one of four managers to have won the English league with two different clubs. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest managers of all time. John Robertson (footballer, Born 1953)
John Neilson Robertson (born 20 January 1953) is a Scottish former professional footballer. He provided the assisting cross for Trevor Francis to score the only goal when Nottingham Forest won the 1979 European Cup Final. A year later he scored when Forest retained the trophy 1-0 this time against Hamburger SV. At Forest he also won promotion from the 1976–77 Football League Second Division, the 1977–78 Football League First Division, the UEFA Super Cup, two Football League Cups, the 1978 FA Charity Shield and the Anglo-Scottish Cup. He also played for the full Scotland national football team, scoring the winning goal against England in 1981 and against New Zealand in the 1982 FIFA World Cup. Garry Birtles
Garry Birtles (born 27 July 1956) is an English retired professional footballer who played as a forward in the Football League between the 1970s and 1990s. He is best known for his time at Nottingham Forest, during which he won the 1979 and 1980 European Cup Finals. He was also capped three times by England. He is the cousin of actress Sherrie Hewson.
