Camden London Borough Council, also known as Camden Council, legally The Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Camden, is the local authority for the London Borough of Camden in Greater London, England. Anthony Roger Kerpel (born 1945) is a British retired politician and adviser who served as the personal assistant to Prime Minister Edward Heath, special adviser to Conservative Chairman Kenneth Baker from 1986 to 1992 and adviser to South African State President F. W. de Klerk from 1993 to 1994. Early life and background Kerpel was born on 22 March 1945. He attended Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School in Elstree, Hertfordshire, before going on to study at the University of Bath, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology in 1968. Highgate is an electoral ward in the London Borough of Camden, in the United Kingdom. The ward has existed since the creation of the borough on 1 April 1965 and was first used in the 1964 elections. It returns three councillors to Camden London Borough Council. The boundaries of the ward were subject to minor changes in May 1978, April 1994, May 2002 and May 2022. History In October 2019, during its review of the London Borough of Camden, the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) proposed removing Dartmouth Park from the Highgate ward. George Archibald, 1st Baron Archibald
George Archibald, 1st Baron Archibald CBE (21 July 1898 – 25 February 1975) was a British Labour politician. Early life Archibald was the son of George W. Archibald, of Glasgow, and was educated at St George's Road Elementary School and Alan Glen's High School. Career He fought Birmingham Sparkbrook as the Labour candidate in 1931, but was heavily defeated by Leo Amery in the Conservative landslide of that year. During the Second World War he served as Controller of the Ministry of Information from 1944 to 1945. In 1949 he was raised to the peerage by the Labour government of Clement Attlee as Baron Archibald, of Woodside in the City of Glasgow. He served under Attlee as Captain of the Yeomen of the Guard (Deputy Chief Whip in the House of Lords) from June to October 1951. He was later Chairman of the Federation of British Film Makers from 1957 to 1966 and Deputy President of Film Production of Great Britain from 1966 to 1968. Alan Greengross
Sir Alan David Greengross (15 April 1929 – 13 August 2018) was a British people, British politician, who served as the final leader of the Conservative Party (UK), Conservative Party on the Greater London Council (GLC). Born in London, Alan's father Morris was Mayor of Holborn in the 1960s, while his sister Wendy Greengross, Wendy became a well known counsellor.
