1973 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships
The 1973 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships were held in lake Kaukajärvi, Tampere, FinlandKaukajärvi Canoe/Kayak venue on map. The men's competition consisted of six Canadian (single paddle, open boat) and nine kayak events. Three events were held for the women, all in kayak. This was the tenth ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, championships in canoe sprint. Jerzy Janusz Opara (born 21 July 1948) is a Polish sprint canoeist who competed in the 1970s. He was born in Warsaw. Competing in two Summer Olympics, he won a silver medal in the C-2 500 m event at Montreal in 1976.
