Divizia A
Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1 and officially known as SuperLiga for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Romania and the highest level of the Romanian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation from and to Liga II. The teams play 30 matches each in the regular season, before entering the championship play-offs or the relegation play-outs according to their position in the regular table. Liga I was established in 1909 and commenced play for the 1909–10 Divizia A, 1909–10 campaign, being currently 25th in UEFA's UEFA coefficient#League coefficient, league coefficient ranking list. It is administered by the Liga Profesionistă de Fotbal, also known by the acronym LPF. Nicolae Nagy
Nicolae Nagy (born 8 March 1942) is a Romanian former football forward. Club career Nicolae Nagy was born 8 March 1942 in Marosvásárhely, Hungary (today Târgu Mureș in Romania), starting to play junior level football in 1957 at local club, Avântul. In 1961 he started his senior career at Mureșul Târgu Mureș in Divizia B. In 1962 he went to play for Viitorul București where he made his Divizia A debut on 9 September in a 0–0 with Știința Cluj. After only one appearance for Viitorul he went back to the second league to play for Dinamo Obor București. In 1963 he returned to first league football, signing with Dinamo Pitești, his first performance with the club being the reaching of the 1965 Cupa României final, being used by coach Virgil Mărdărescu all the minutes in the 2–1 loss in front of Știința Cluj. Ion Ionescu (footballer, Born 1938)
Ion Gheorghe Ionescu (born 5 April 1938) is a Romanian former football striker. Club career Rapid București Ion Gheorghe Ionescu, nicknamed "Puiu" was born on 5 April 1938 in Bucharest, Romania, growing up in the Cotroceni neighborhood. He made his Divizia A debut, playing for Rapid București under coach Ion Mihăilescu on 30 October 1960 in a 2–0 loss in front of Minerul Lupeni. He spent eight seasons at Rapid, making a successful couple in the team's offence with Emil Dumitriu, winning two times the top-goalscorer of Divizia A title in the 1962–63 season with 20 goals and in 1965–66 with 24 goals. In the 1966–67 season, under the guidance of coach Valentin Stănescu he helped Rapid win the first league title in the club's history, being the team's top-goalscorer with 15 goals scored in 22 matches. Florea Voinea (born 21 April 1941) is a Romanian retired association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker. Club career Florea Voinea was born on 21 April 1941 in Puchenii Moșneni, Prahova County and started to play football at junior level at Rafinăria 1 Ploiești and Petrolul Ploiești. FCU 1948 Craiova Fotbal Club, commonly known as FC U Craiova 1948 or simply FC U Craiova, is a Romanian professional football club based in Craiova, Dolj County, that competes in the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian league system. 1967–68 Divizia B
The 1967–68 Divizia B was the 28th season of the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The format has been maintained to two series, each of them having 14 teams. At the end of the season, the winners of the series are promoted to Divizia A. Due to expansion of Divizia A and Divizia B from 14 to 16 teams, also the second places from the series played a promotion play-off, at the end of which the second place from the second series also promoted to Divizia A and last two places from both series played a relegation play-off against second places from Divizia C, at the end of which only one team relegated. The tenth Inter-Cities Fairs Cup was played over the 1967–68 season. The competition was won by Leeds United over two legs in the final against Ferencváros.
