The Chief minister (India), chief minister of Karnataka is the Head of government, chief executive officer of the Government of Karnataka, government of the Indian state of Karnataka. Ramakrishna Hegde
Ramakrishna Mahabaleshwar Hegde (29 August 1926 – 12 January 2004) was an Indian politician who served as the third Chief Minister of Karnataka for three terms between 1983 and 1988. He was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in 1957, 1962, 1967, 1983, 1985 and 1989, and to the Rajya Sabha for two terms, 1978–83 and 1996–2002. He also served as Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Union government (1998–1999). Kalastavadi Puttaswamy (1917 – 1978) was an Indian independence activist, lawyer, politician and educationist. A member of the Indian National Congress (INC), he was elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly for a then record seven times, having won every assembly election from 1952 until his death in 1978. Puttaswamy held multiple cabinet portfolios under the chief ministership of S. Nijalingappa and Veerendra Patil. Grace Tucker was an Indian politician and a former Congress MLA in Mysore State who represented Halasuru from 1957 to 1967. Kadidal Manjappa (10 July 1908 – 8 March 1992) was an Indian independence activist, politician and writer, who served as the third Chief Minister of Karnataka (then Mysore State) for a short period in 1956. Early life Manjappa was born on 10 July 1908 in Harohalli, a village in Shimoga district of the erstwhile Kingdom of Mysore (in present-day Karnataka, India). Kondajji Basappa (born 12 November 1915, Kondajji, Davanagere, Karnataka, India; died 14 November 1982, Bangalore, India) was an Indian politician who was the Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha for Davanagere, Karnataka and a leader in the Karnataka Scouts and Guides movement. Andanappa Jnanappa Doddameti (16 March 1908 – 21 February 1972) was an Indian statesman. He is known for his role in the Unification of Karnataka and his significant participation in the Indian Independence Movement. Early life Doddameti was born into a farming family of Jnanappa and Basamma in Jakkali village, Ron taluk, of the erstwhile Bombay Presidency of British India (in present-day Karnataka) on 16 March 1908. Doddameti was an agriculturist through ancestry. He joined the Indian National Congress in 1930. In 1933, he was named director of the Karnatak Provincial Congress Committee. Veerendra Basappa Patil (Kannada: ವೀರೇಂದ್ರ ಪಾಟೀಲ್; 28 February 1924 – 14 March 1997) was a senior Indian politician and was twice, the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
