1961–62 Cypriot Cup
The 1961–62 Cypriot Cup was the 20th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 23 clubs entered the competition. It began with the first round and concluded on 17 June 1962 with the final which was held at GSP Stadium (1902), GSP Stadium. Anorthosis Famagusta FC, Anorthosis won their 3rd Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Olympiakos Nicosia, Olympiakos 5–2 in the final. Format In the 1961–62 Cypriot Cup, participated the teams of the 1961–62 Cypriot First Division, Cypriot First Division and the teams of the 1961–62 Cypriot Second Division, Cypriot Second Division. The competition consisted of five knock-out rounds. In all rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup, formally known as the Cypriot Coca-Cola Cup of First and Second Division () for sponsorship purposes, is a Cypriot knockout football club competition, hosted annually by the Cyprus Football Association. First held in 1934, it is the second most important competition in Cypriot football, after the Cypriot First Division. Since 2008, it is contested by teams from the first and Cypriot Second Division, second division, while teams from the Cypriot Third Division, third and STOK Elite Division, fourth division compete in the Cypriot Cup for lower divisions. The winners of the Cypriot Cup qualify for one of UEFA competitions, UEFA's European competitions, and a place in the Cypriot Super Cup. Pezoporikos Larnaca FC
Pezoporikos Club Larnaca (, ''Pezoporikos Omilos Larnakas'') was a Cyprus, Cypriot sports club based in Larnaca with association football, football, basketball and volleyball teams. Founded in 1927, the football club joined the Cypriot Championship in 1938, winning it twice as well as one Cypriot Cup. The colours of the club were green and white. In 1994 the club merged with EPA Larnaca FC, EPA Larnaca and they formed AEK Larnaca (). The club also had a basketball and volleyball department and were basketball champions four times and five times cup winners. Since the 1990–91 season, the club dominated the Cyprus Basketball by winning 3 championships and one cup in four years. Kostakis Pierides (; born 2 April 1941) is a Cypriot former footballer who played as a forward and made four appearances for the Cyprus national team. Career Pierides made his debut for Cyprus on 3 December 1966 in a UEFA Euro 1968 qualifying match against Romania, where he scored the only goal for Cyprus in the 1–5 loss. He went on to make four appearances, scoring one goal, before making his last appearance in 1969. Overtime (sports)
Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament and replays are not allowed. The Armenian Young Men's Association (AYMA) (, ) is a cultural and sporting club of the Armenians of Cyprus, headquartered in Nicosia. Alki Larnaca (, ''ALKI Larnakas'') was a Cypriot football club based in the town of Larnaca. The club was founded in 1948 and it was dissolved on the 6th of May 2014 due to financial issues.
