1938 Copa Ibarguren
The 1938 Copa Ibarguren was the 15th edition of the List of Argentine football national cups, national cup of Argentina. It was played by the champions of both leagues, Argentine Primera División, Primera División and Asociación Rosarina de Fútbol crowned during 1938. Club Atlético Independiente, Independiente (Primera División champion) faced Rosario Central (Liga Rosarina champion) at San Lorenzo de Almagro's venue, Estadio Gasómetro, in the Boedo neighborhood of Buenos Aires, on February 4, 1939. With three goals by forward (association football), forward Vicente de la Mata and two by striker Arsenio Erico, Independiente beat Central 5–3 and won its first Copa Ibarguren trophy.Copa Ibarguren 1938

The Copa Dr. Carlos Ibarguren, also called Campeonato Argentino
by Osvaldo Gorgazzi on the RSSSF or simply Copa Ibarguren was an official List of Argentine football national cups, Argentine football cup competition contested between 1913 and 1958. Between 1913 and 1925, the winner of the cup received the honor to be the "Argentine Champion". That is because the cup faced the two strongest champions of the country, represented by the Buenos Aires league (Argentine Primera División, Primera División) and the Liga Rosarina de Football, Rosario league (with its affiliated teams competing in Copa Nicasio Vila, the main division of LRF).

Fermín Díaz de Lecea López de Echazarreta (1905–1989), known as Fermín Lecea, was a Spanish-Argentine footballer, who played as defender in Club Atlético Independiente. He won the first championship of Independiente in the professional era. Career Fermín Lecea was born in Spain, and settled in Argentina at a young age. He began his career in Newell's Old Boys. Roberto Jorge D'Alessandro di Ninno (born 28 July 1949) is an Argentine retired football goalkeeper and manager. He spent most of his career with Salamanca in Spain, appearing in nine La Liga seasons and more than 300 official games with the club.
