Mihir Rakshit
Mihir Rakshit (born 1 July 1936) is an Indian economist, known for his work on fiscal, monetary and other policy, especially issues that concern developing economies. Originally from Chittagong, which is now in Bangladesh, he did his graduation from Presidency College, Calcutta, post-graduation from the University of Calcutta and his PhD from London School of Economics. He taught at the departments of Economics of The University of Calcutta, The University of Burdwan, Presidency College Calcutta, and Indian Statistical Institute Calcutta, as faculty. He also taught at Delhi School of Economics and Erasmus University Rotterdam, as visiting faculty. He served the Reserve Bank of India for two terms as a member of its Central Board of Directors. Kamala Nehru
Kamala Nehru (; ; 1 August 1899 – 28 February 1936) was an Indian independence activist and the wife of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India. Their daughter Indira Gandhi would go on to become the first and the only woman Prime Minister of India. Early life and marriage Kamala Kaul was born to a middle-class Kashmiri Pandit family on 1 August 1899 in Delhi. Narayanan Vaghul
Narayanan Vaghul (1936 – 18 May 2024) was an Indian banker and philanthropist, who served as chairman and managing director of ICICI Bank, one of India's largest private sector banks. He was a recipient of the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian honour, in 2010. Early life Vaghul was born in Madras (present-day Chennai) in then British India in 1936. He was second in a family of eight children. He studied at Ramakrishna Mission School and graduated from Loyola College, Madras University in the with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours in 1956. Ismail Merchant (born Ismail Noor Muhammad Abdul Rahman; 25 December 1936 – 24 May 2005) was an Indian film producer. He worked for many years in collaboration with Merchant Ivory Productions which included film director (and Merchant's longtime professional and domestic partner) James Ivory as well as screenwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. Suhail Zaheer Lari (13 November 19365 December 2020; ) was a Pakistani historian and author who focused on research and documentation of the history of the Sindh region in Southern Pakistan. He was a co-founder of the Heritage Foundation of Pakistan, a conservation organization which sought to drive awareness to the region's art, architecture, and cultural heritage.
