Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played between two teams of 11 players who primarily use their feet to propel the ball around a rectangular field called a pitch. The objective of the game is to score more goals than the opposition by moving the ball beyond the goal line into a rectangular framed goal defended by the opposing side. Traditionally, the game has been played over two 45 minute halves, for a total match time of 90 minutes. With an estimated 250 million players active in over 200 countries, it is considered the world's most popular sport. FC Ripensia Timișoara
Fotbal Club Ripensia Timișoara (), commonly known as Ripensia Timișoara, or simply as Ripensia, is a Romanian professional football club based in Timișoara, Timiș County. It plays in the Liga II. The team was founded in 1928 by Lázár Kornél and folded after twenty years due to lack of funds. However, ''Ripi'' was brought back to life and enrolled in the Liga VI, the sixth tier of the Romanian football league system, in 2012. Ripensia Timișoara was the first Romanian club to turn professional, and because of this status they were unable to compete in the national league until the 1932–33 season. After being granted permission in the national system, the club soon became one of the best in the country, winning four national titles and two national cups in their short history. Football at the 1936 Summer Olympics was won by Italy. After the introduction of the first FIFA World Cup in 1930 (which had, in itself led to the absence of a football tournament from the 1932 Games programme), competing nations would from now on only be permitted to play their best players if those players were amateur or (where national associations were assisted by interested states to traverse such a rule) where professional players were state-sponsored. However, since amateur players were counted as senior squad players, their results would be still counted as senior side's results until 1992. 1936 In Soviet Football
The 1936 Soviet football championship was the 6th seasons of competitive football in the Soviet Union split into two halves. FC Dynamo Moscow won the championship in spring and FC Spartak Moscow won it in fall. In the fall the defending champions Dynamo were going neck-in-neck with their main rivals Spartak, but just a round away from the finish line they tied with weaker Dynamo Leningrad which costed them the title. Krasnaya Zaria Leningrad avoided relegation from the Group A in spring, while CDKA Moscow avoided relegation in fall.
