''1915'' is an Australian historical drama television miniseries written by Peter Yeldham, based on Roger McDonald's 1979 novel '' 1915: A Novel of Gallipoli'', that premiered on ABC TV on 27 June 1982, and concluded on 8 August 1982. The miniseries stars Scott McGregor, Scott Burgess, Sigrid Thornton, Jackie Woodburne, Ilona Rodgers, Richard Moir, Serge Lazareff, Damon Sanders, and Andrew McFarlane. The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA), known as ScreenSound Australia from 1999 to 2004, is Australia's audiovisual archive, responsible for developing, preserving, maintaining, promoting, and providing access to a national collection of film, television, sound, radio, video games, new media, and related documents and artefacts. Alan David Lee
Alan David Lee (born 1955 or 1956) is an Australian actor. Early life Lee grew up on a farm in Kenya before moving to Australia when he was 7. He graduated from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 1981. When he had initially applied, he was encouraged to gain practical life experience first, so he withdrew his application and moved to North Queensland where he drove road trains in Mount Isa, cut railway sleepers, and was a truck driver. Following that, he moved to Birmingham, England, where he worked in a steel factory, and with a local theatre company at night. When he eventually reapplied and was accepted at NIDA, Lee says he felt he had more clarity and was more resilient. Adrian Wright (1 July 1947 – 28 November 2015) was an English-Australian actor known for his roles in the 1970s children's television series ''Freewheelers'' and the Australian serial ''Prisoner'' in which he played male nurse Neil Murray.
