1901–02 FC Barcelona Season
The 1901–02 season was the third season for FC Barcelona. Events The first game of the season was a Exhibition game, friendly against Hispania Athletic Club, Hispania AC which ended in a 1–0 victory thanks to a goal from Joan Gamper. The following game was the first at camp de la Carretera d'Horta, and Gamper contributed decisively once again with a hat-trick#Association football, hat-trick to help his side to a 4–0 win over the crew of HMS Calliope (1884), Calliope. A few months later, Barça won the first official piece of silverware, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya. In the eight games played in the tournament, Barça only conceded two goals, in a 2–4 win over Hispania on 6 January 1902, and scored a resounding 60 goals, 15 of which came on the final matchday in a 15–0 victory over Català SC on 23 March 1902, with Udo Steinberg netting 6 goals, and Joan Gamper and Arthur Leask clutching a hat-trick each. Otto Karl Christian Maier Zeuner (2 September 1877 – 6 October 1965) was a German footballer who played as a midfielder for FC Barcelona. He was one of the most important footballers in the amateur beginnings of FC Barcelona, being among the 12 founders of the club in 1899, and then serving the club as a midfielder for three years, where he played a role in the conquest of Barça's first ever piece of silverware, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya. Miguel Valdés Padró (13 October 1867 - 5 May 1951) was a Spanish gymnast and footballer who played as a midfielder for Català FC and FC Barcelona. Paul Widerkehr (12 September 1880 – unknown) was a Swiss footballer who played as a midfielder for Barcelona in the 1901–02 season, helping the club win its first-ever trophy, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya. George Meyer (footballer)
George Meyer was a Swiss-born footballer who played as a defender and midfielder for Spanish club FC Barcelona and RCD Espanyol in the early 1900s. He was regarded as the best player of Barcelona's early years, playing a pivotal role in the club's first-ever piece of silverware, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya. Arthur Witty
Arthur Witty Cotton, also known as Don Arturo, was a footballer, club president and businessman. Witty played for FC Barcelona in the first Copa del Rey final and later served as club president between 1903 and 1905. Samuel Alfredo Morris de Olea (1870 – 23 August 1935), was an Anglo-Filipino football pioneer who played as a goalkeeper and midfielder for some of the earliest Catalan clubs in existence. Luis Puelles Pàmies (1877 – after 1902) was a Spanish footballer who played as a goalkeeper and defender for FC Barcelona. He played an important role in the conquest of Barça's first official titles, the 1901–02 Copa Macaya, which was the club's first-ever piece of silverware, and the 1902–03 Copa Barcelona. Vicente Reig
Vicente Reig Falomir (1866 – 18 December 1918) was a Spanish footballer who played as a goalkeeper for FC Barcelona, and most notably, he was the 7th President of the said club in 1908, holding the position for 22 days, the shortest term in the history of the entity.
