Guysborough-Tracadie
Guysborough-Tracadie is a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada, that elects one member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. It was created in 1867 as Guysborough. It included all of Guysborough County and elected two members to the House of Assembly. In 1933, the number of members elected was reduced to one. In 1993, the name was changed to Guysborough–Port Hawkesbury as the town of Port Hawkesbury was added to the district. In 2003 it was renamed Guysborough–Sheet Harbour as it gained an eastern area from Eastern Shore and lost Port Hawkesbury to Inverness. In 2013, following the recommendations of the 2012 Electoral Boundaries Commission, the district was renamed Guysborough–Eastern Shore–Tracadie and gained the area east of the Tracadie River from Antigonish. Frank Andrews (January 7, 1854 – November 11, 1924) was a farmer, educator and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Annapolis County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1886 to 1890 as a Liberal-Conservative member. He was born in Victoria Vale, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, the son of John Andrews, who came to Nova Scotia from Cornwall, UK. Andrews was educated at Acadia College. He married Bertha Phinney from Massachusetts. For several years, Andrews was principal of a public school in Halifax. James Wilberforce Longley
James Wilberforce Longley (4 January 1849 – 16 March 1922) was a Canadian journalist, lawyer, politician, and judge. Born in Paradise, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, the son of Israel Longley and Frances Manning, Longley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1871 and a Master of Arts degree in 1877 from Acadia College. In 1871, he moved to Halifax and studied law with Hiram Blanchard. He was called to the Bar in 1875 and practiced law in Halifax from 1875 to 1882. He was also a journalist working for the ''Acadian Recorder''. In 1887, he was appointed managing editor of the ''Halifax Morning Chronicle''. In 1882, he was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for the electoral district of Annapolis County. Annapolis is a provincial electoral district in Nova Scotia, Canada, that elects one member of the Nova Scotia House of Assembly. The district was created in 1867 and was abolished in 1953 when it was re-distributed into Annapolis East and Annapolis West. The district was re-formed in 1993 and its boundaries were changed following the 2012 electoral reform commission to include the portion of Digby-Annapolis within Annapolis County north of Maitland Bridge. Thomas McMullen
Thomas Gotobed McMullen (January 7, 1844 – October 7, 1925) was a lumber merchant and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada. He represented Colchester County in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly from 1897 to 1901 as a Liberal-Conservative member. He was the son of Hugh McMullen and Rebecca Gotobed. McMullen was married twice: to Jessie McConnell in 1867 and then to a widow named Norris. He was leading principal of the Midland Railway, which was later purchased by the Dominion Atlantic Railway. McMullen died in Truro at the age of 81. John Drew Sperry (February 10, 1851 – October 7, 1933) was a merchant and political figure in Nova Scotia, Canada.
