Quilmes Atlético Club
Quilmes Atlético Club () is an Argentine sports club based in the Quilmes district of Greater Buenos Aires. Established in 1887 (although the date of foundation is still under dispute), Quilmes is the oldest club of Argentina still competing in championships organised by the Argentine Football Association. Quilmes' football team currently plays in Primera B Nacional, the second division of the Argentinian football. Lobos Athletic Club is an Argentine sports club based in the city of Lobos, Buenos Aires. Although other sports were practised at the club, Lobos Athletic is mostly known for its football team, who took part in the Primera División championships until its disaffection, being runner-up in 1898 and 1899. Nowadays Lobos AC plays in "Liga Lobense de Fútbol", a regional league of Buenos Aires Province. Apart from football, other sports sections of the club are field hockey, basketball and volleyball. 1900 in Argentine football saw English High School members joining again to the team to request their affiliation. Quilmes Rovers also returned under its new name "Quilmes Atlético Club". Both teams replaced Lobos and Lanús Athletic. English High School won its first Argentine championship. The international Tie Cup (where teams from Buenos Aires, Rosario and Montevideo took part) was played for the first time, being won by Belgrano AC.
