18th Asian Film Awards
The 18th Asian Film Awards was held on March 16, 2025 at Xiqu Centre in the West Kowloon Cultural District, Hong Kong. The nominations were announced on January 10, 2025. The 18th edition featured a selection of 30 outstanding films from 25 countries and regions, competing across 16 awards. The South Korean film ''Exhuma'' with 11 nominations is the most-nominated film this year. Actors Dean Fujioka, Aokbab Chutimon, Austin Lin, Lo Chun-yip, and Masaki Okada were appointed, with Fujioka serving as the ambassador and the others as youth ambassadors. The awards ceremony took place on March 16, 2025, at the Grand Theatre, with Jason Chan and Sarah Song as hosts. TVB Plus
TVB Plus, formerly TVB J2 () is a Chinese-language free-to-air terrestrial television channel in Hong Kong. Owned by Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and first launched on 30 June 2008, the channel broadcasts programming aimed at youth and young adult audiences, as well as sports and financial journalism programming. Most of its programming is presented in Cantonese, but occasionally there are programmes in other languages including Mandarin, Japanese and Korean. Most of the shows are broadcast on bilingual audio channels with Chinese subtitles. It began broadcasting in high definition on 21 January 2013. Payal Kapadia is an Indian filmmaker. She is best known for having won the Golden Eye award for best documentary film at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival for her film '' A Night of Knowing Nothing''.
