Belgian First Division
The Belgian Pro League (; ; ), officially the Jupiler Pro League () for sponsor Jupiler, is a professional association football league in Belgium and the highest level of the Belgian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs from the 2023–24 Belgian Pro League, 2023–24 season until 2025–26 when it will expand to 18 teams from 2026–27 onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. Seasons run from late July to late March, with teams playing 30 matches each in the regular season, and then entering Play-offs I (also known as the ''Championship Playoff'', ''title playoffs'' or ''Champions' play-offs''), Play-offs II (also known as the ''Europa League playoff'' or ''Europe play-offs'') or Play-offs III (also known as the ''Relegation play-offs'') according to their position in the regular season. Racing Club De Bruxelles
Koninklijke Football Club Rhodienne-De Hoek is a Belgian association football club based in Sint-Genesius-Rode, Flemish Brabant. The club was created in 1894 as Racing Football Club. It became a member of the Royal Belgian Football Association in 1895 as Racing Club de Bruxelles and later received the matricule n°6. It took part in the first Belgian league the same year and won 6 titles and 1 cup until the First World War. Then, the club declined, and in 1963, it merged with White Star Woluwé A.C. to avoid bankruptcy. The new club was then called Royal Racing White. It was decided that this club would keep the matricule N°47 of White Star Woluwé. Thus to avoid that the matricule n°6 of Royal Racing Club de Bruxelles (as it was named since 1921) was erased, the club exchanged its matricule with that of K. Sport Sint-Genesius-Rode. The 1897–98 season was the third competitive season in Belgian football. Overview Only one official league existed at the time. It was called ''Coupe de Championnat'' (Championship Cup) and was disputed between 5 teams as no new team was admitted. No team was relegated this season since the FA decided to split the division into two leagues. Four new teams were thus admitted at the end of the season and they formed one of the two leagues: F.C. Brugeois (that had already played in the first competitive season), C.S. Brugeois, R.C. Gantois and F.C. Courtraisien.
