The 16th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) was elected at the 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on 15 November 2002. 16th National Congress Of The Chinese Communist Party
The 16th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party was held in Beijing between November 8 and 14, 2002. It was preceded by the 15th National Congress and was succeeded by the 17th National Congress. 2,114 delegates and 40 specially invited delegates represented the party's estimated 66 million members. The Party National Congress examined and adopted the amendment to the Constitution of the Chinese Communist Party proposed by the 15th CCP Central Committee, and decided to come into force as from the date of its adoption. An amendment to the Constitution was approved the Party National Congress, with Jiang Zemin's signature ideology of " Three Represents" written into it. The Congress and elected a 356-member 16th CCP Central Committee, as well as a 121-member Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI). Zhu Weiqun (; born March 1947) is a Chinese politician. He formerly served as the executive deputy head of the United Front Work Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Born in Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province, Zhu attended the Jingshan School and Renmin University. He graduated from the department of journalism of the graduate school of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, with a master's degree. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in July 1970. In February 1999, he was appointed Deputy Head of the United Front Work Department of the CCP, where he handled ethnic affairs. Baima (; ; born April 1946) is a Chinese politician of Tibetan ethnicity who served as chairman of the Qinghai Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference between 2007 and 2012. Bagatur or Bater (; born February 1955) is a Chinese Communist Party politician of Mongol ancestry, formerly serving as the director of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission.
