16 Carat Gold Tournament
The 16 Carat Gold Tournament is an annual single-elimination tournament produced by the Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) promotion. The sixteen-man tournament was first conceived by wXw in 2006 and has been held every year since then with the exception of the 2021 edition which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Oberhausen (, ) is a city on the river Emscher in the Ruhr Area, Germany, located between Duisburg and Essen ( ). Thomas Dawkins, better known by his ring name Cara Noir, is an English professional wrestler, best known for his work on the British independent circuit. His character has been described as the black swan of professional wrestling, and is noted for his distinctive moveset, owing to previous involvement in ballet, dance, and mixed martial arts. Walter Hahn (born 20 August 1987) is an Austrian professional wrestler and trainer. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Gunther and is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion in his first reign. Hahn has appeared in a number of independent promotions around the world, predominantly wrestling mononymously as Walter (stylized in all capital letters), most notably Westside Xtreme Wrestling, becoming a three-time wXw Unified World Wrestling Champion, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he is a former one-time PWG World Champion, and Progress Wrestling, where he is a former Progress Unified World Champion. Turbinenhalle Oberhausen
The Turbinenhalle is a music and cultural venue on Mülheimerstraße in Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The complex opened in 1909 to generate power to the ''Gutehoffnungshütte'' coal and steel engineering company which was based in Oberhausen until 1986. After a number of years derelict, the building was reopened as a disco in 1993 and has since evolved into one of the largest venues in the surrounding area. The complex consists of numerous rooms of varying sizes. The largest room is Turbinenhalle 1 with a capacity of approximately 1,500 - followed by Turbinenhalle 2 which fits approximately 1,100. The wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship is a professional wrestling world heavyweight championship, contested in the German professional wrestling promotion, Westside Xtreme Wrestling. The championship was established in 2001 as the wXw World Heavyweight Championship, but was later unified with the wXw World Lightweight Championship to create the modern title.
