Prix Iris
Prix was an American power pop band formed in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1975 by Tommy Hoehn and Jon Tiven. The group ended up primarily as a studio project. Its recordings were produced by Tiven along with former Big Star member Chris Bell, who also played guitar and sang backup vocals. Prix is also famous for its use of banjo. Alex Chilton also participated in the recordings, along with session drummer Hilly Michaels. Although the group generated some major record label interest—notably from Mercury Records and Columbia/CBS Records—it ultimately only released a double A-side single on Ork Records in 1977 and a single on Miracle Records in 1978. Its only live performance came at a CBS Records showcase in 1976. In 1977, just as Ork Records released the first single and booked the group at CBGB, Prix broke up due both to Hoehn's unwillingness to remain in New York and to creative differences. Lyse Lafontaine (born 1942) is a Canadian film producer known for working with directors Jean-Claude Lauzon and Xavier Dolan. She works at Lyla Films in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Early life Born to '' La Presse'' reporter Gaston Lafontaine, Lyse studied literature at the Université de Montréal and earned her degree. She married Stéphane Venne and managed the rock band Offenbach in 1972. She became a stage manager on the 1974 film '' The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz'', and married her second husband, moving to The Bahamas for two years before returning to Canada. Career In 1976, Lafontaine served as location manager for the film '' The Little Girl Who Lives Down the Lane'', starring Jodie Foster. Charles Gillibert (born 14 September 1977) is a French film producer. Since 2021, he has served as the president of Les Films du Losange. Life and career Gillibert was born in Tassin-la-Demi-Lune. Kim McCraw
Kim McCraw (born ) is a Canadian film producer and co-founder of the Montreal-based production company micro_scope, with Luc Déry. She was born in Granby, Quebec, and after graduating from Cégep de Granby became a director's assistant. McCraw met Dery while working on a short film in Granby. It was in 2004 that she joined the micro_scope team as a producer, and subsequently became a co-shareholder. With Dery, McCraw specialized in "smart, high-end pics designed to attract interest outside Canada".
