The 14th Maharashtracha Favourite Kon? Awards ceremony, presented by the Marathi television channel Zee Talkies, honored the best Marathi-language Indian films of 2023. The ceremony was held on 18 January 2024, and was hosted by Amey Wagh and Mahesh Manjrekar. The year also introduced Critics choice awards in six categories. '' Ved'' led the ceremony with 15 nominations, followed by '' Vaalvi'' with 11 and ''Maharashtra Shahir'' with 9 nominations. '' Ved'' earned 7 awards, including Favourite Film, Favourite Director, Favourite Actor, and Favourite Actress, making it the most-awarded film of the ceremony, whereas ''Godavari'' earned 3 awards — Favourite Film Critics, Favourite Director Critics and Favourite Actor Critics. Riteish Deshmukh got 3 nominations in different categories and won all three, while Genelia Deshmukh won both nominations. The Maharashtracha Favourite Kon? Awards are presented by the Marathi television channel Zee Talkies to honour excellence in Marathi cinema. It has been given annually since 2009, with the latest—the 14th edition—of the award-giving ceremony having been held in 2024. The awards are decided by a jury, consisting of noted film-makers, critics and technicians, while winners in a separate category named "Favourite awards" are chosen by public voting. History The first edition of the awards was held to select the most popular artists, however not for any technical work. Mrinal Kulkarni (née Deo; born 21 June 1971) is an Indian actress and director known for her work in several films and television productions. Hemant Dhome (born 21 March 1986) is an Indian filmmaker and actor known for his works in Marathi Cinema. Personal life Dhome was born on 21 March 1986 in Pune, to a Marathi family.
