13th Infantry Division (Russian Empire)
The 13th Infantry Division (russian: 13-я пехотная дивизия, ''13-ya Pekhotnaya Diviziya'') was an infantry formation of the Russian Imperial Army that existed in various formations from the early 19th century until the end of World War I and the Russian Revolution. The division was based in Sevastopol in the years leading up to 1914. It fought in World War I and was demobilized in 1918. Andrey Selivanov
Andrey Nikolayevich Selivanov (5 August 1847 – 15 July 1917) was a Russian politician and general notable for capturing Przemyśl during World War I. Biography Selivanov served in the Russian army during the Russo-Turkish War of 1877-1878 and the Russo-Japanese War, winning distinction for both conflicts. Selivanov served as Governor-General of Irkutsk from 1906 until 1910 when he became a member of the State Council of Imperial Russia. In 1914 during World War I, Selivanov was appointed commander of the forces besieging Przemyśl. The siege had begun under the command of Radko Dimitriev on September 24, 1914. Dimitriev's Russian Third Army was forced to suspend siege operations during Paul von Hindenburg's offensive against Warsaw in 1914. Konstantin V Tserpitsky (December 11, 1849 – November 14, 1905) was a Russian commander, lieutenant general, participant in the campaigns of 1873, 1875–1876, 1878 and 1880 in Turkestan, the Chinese campaign of 1900-1901 and the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905. Mikhail Batyanov
Mikhail Ivanovich Batyanov (russian: Михаил Иванович Батьянов ) (1835 - 5 December 1916) was a general in the Imperial Russian Army. Biography Batyanov was a graduate of the Sea Cadet Corps in 1852, and served with the Black Sea Fleet of the Imperial Russian Navy in the Caucasus campaigns of 1852–1854. As part of a naval infantry battalion, he distinguished himself at the Battle of Sevastopol during the Crimean War, where he was wounded. He was decorated with the Order of St Anne, 3rd class with swords (1854), and the Order of St Vladimir, 4th class with swords (1855) during the war. Afterwards, Batyanov transferred to the Imperial Russian Army, serving with the Imperial Guards followed by the Zhytomyr 56th Infantry Regiment in 1861. Baron Andrey Nikolayevich Korf or Korff (russian: Андрей Николаевич Корф; 1831–1893) was the first Viceroy (Governor General) of the Russian Far East (1884–93). The names of the village of Korf and the Korfa Bay commemorate him. He came from the Korff noble family. He was an Imperial Russian baron of Baltic German descent and an infantry general of the Imperial Russian Army. Andrey Korff took part in the Caucasian War and led an attack on Veden in 1859. Dmitry Petrovich Neverovsky (1771–1813) was a Russian military officer and general who served in the Russo-Turkish War and the Napoleonic Wars. He served in the Battle of Smolensk, Battle of Borodino, and Battle of Leipzig, where he was mortally wounded. Born to a minor noble in Poltava, in modern-day Ukraine.
