133rd Field Artillery Regiment (United States)
The 133rd Field Artillery Regiment is a parent field artillery regiment of the United States Army National Guard. It is currently represented in the Texas Army National Guard by the 1st, 3rd, and 4th Battalions. Battery E, 1st Battalion, 133rd Field Artillery of the 49th Armored Division served in Iraq March 2004 until March 2005. Attached to the 2ID and 36ID. 1st and 3rd counter motor radar units were assigned to FOB Marez, Mosul, Iraq. Other radar units were stationed in different areas of Iraq. Texas Army National Guard
The Texas Army National Guard is a component of the United States Army, the United States National Guard and the Texas Military Forces (along with the Texas Air National Guard and the Texas State Guard). 71st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade
The 71st Expeditionary Military Intelligence Brigade (EMIB) is a unit of the Texas Army National Guard. The formation traces its history to elements of the 36th Infantry Division. The 71st was previously a Battlefield Surveillance Brigades (BfSB). The BfSBs were eliminated in 2016 and the 71st was restructured to the EMIB due to doctrinal changes and the inactivation of the 36th Division Artillery (DIVARTY). It is a separate and distinct organization and is not authorized to claim heraldic links to the previous Texas Army National Guard 71st Airborne Brigade. Field Artillery Branch (United States)
The Field Artillery Branch is the field artillery branch of the United States Army. This branch, alongside the infantry and cavalry branches, was formerly considered to be one of the "classic" combat arms branches (defined as those branches of the army with the primary mission of engaging in armed combat with an enemy force), but is today included within the "Maneuver, Fires and Effects" (MFE) classification, in accordance with current U.S. Army organizational doctrine. M142 HIMARS
The M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS ) is a light multiple rocket launcher developed in the late 1990s for the United States Army and mounted on a standard U.S. Army Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) M1140 truck frame. The HIMARS carries one pod with either six Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets or one ATACMS missile. It is based on the U.S. Army's FMTV five-ton truck, and is capable of launching all rockets in the Multiple Launch Rocket System Family of Munitions. HIMARS ammunition pods are interchangeable with the M270 MLRS. It has a single pod, as opposed to the standard two for the M270 and its variants. Camp Bowie
Camp Bowie is a Texas Military Department training center located in west-central Texas on the southern outskirts of Brownwood. History Camp Bowie, named in honor of the Texas patriot James Bowie, was a military training facility during World War II, and was the third camp in Texas to be so named. From 1940 to 1946, it grew to be one of the largest training centers in Texas. In 1940, the war situation in Europe caused the United States Congress to determine that the time had arrived to strengthen the defense system. President Franklin D. Roosevelt was handed the power to mobilize the National Guard units. The 36th Division of the Texas National Guard unit arrived at Camp Bowie, located then in Fort Worth, in mid-December for their year's training, but before training was finished, war had been declared. The 112th Cavalry Regiment is a Texas National Guard regiment that served in several Pacific campaigns during World War II. Early history The 112th Cavalry Regiment was constituted in the National Guard in 1921, assigned to the 23rd Cavalry Division (United States), 23rd Cavalry Division, and allotted to the state of Texas. The 45th Fires Brigade is a modular field artillery brigade of the United States Army headquartered in Mustang, Oklahoma, Mustang, Oklahoma. It is a part of the Oklahoma Army National Guard.
